Famous Aircraft Series hardbox dated 1960 with framable box art by Don Wilson. This kit is also from the "S" molds and is injected in the correct blue and clear plastic with yellow Blue Angels decals. Never started. The box looks better than the 'very good+' grade, but is rated as such because there is a very light stain on the lower left of the box which did not show up in the photo.

Features folding wings and horizontal stabilizer, rotating and elevating rear gun turret, optional position landing gear, speed brakes & escape hatch, three crew figures and more. Very rare original issue hardbox from 1956. This is a nice model and well detailed for that time, featuring full hull (not waterline), detailed deck and superstructure, separately molded and moving main armament, Terrier missiles, launcher and directors and more. Never started. Inside, it is as it left the factory. The small parts are still sealed in the internal clear bag; the large parts that were never sealed have been inventoried complete and includes the correct large-format flag sheet, decals and instructions. The USS Boston, originally CA-69 (Baltimore Class Heavy Cruiser) was converted to the world's first Guided Missile Cruiser in 1952.

The kit is molded in a beautiful light gloss baby blue and clear and has a much more extensive decal sheet than the USA issue. The inside surfaces of the wings and fuselage are very neatly painted the correct RAF interior color.
