Excellent kit with a very high degree of prefabrication. Features all hard-wood parts completely carved to shape and displayed on a interior card. The full-hull kit measures 11 inches long and 9 inches high when assembled. It is worth noting that this clipper carries 6 cannon. NOTE: this kit has very minor and neat assembly. The stem, keel and rudder have been glued to the hull. The display stand is assembled. There is no other assembly. Quality of assembly is professional with perfect allignment and no gaps. The kit has been inventoried complete with all small parts still factory sealed and tied to the display card. All other parts are tied to the card as well. With instructions.

From the 1950s. Beautiful kit in exceptional condition. All metal parts are absolutely flat and have little to no flash. Often the metal warps, but not in this example. Features factory painted and letter car sides in mint condition (still in the original envelope), factory sealed metal sprung trucks, a fittings pack which is still factory sealed and HO Auto Couplers and Draft Gears with are also still factory sealed. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The parts that were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including instructions. NOTE: this box design is correct, but the part number and name on the box short side is incorrect for this kit.

Very high quality wood and metal kit from the Golden Age of HO Craftsman kits. Builds a very accurate and highly detailed prototype. Of the early metal box car kits, these are my favorites. Their popularity is witnessed by the various reissues through the years. Almost all the parts that are metal on the actual box car are metal on the model. This and the factory paint, lettering and decoration makes these kits difficult to beat for scale appearance. Features stamped steel body that is factory painted, decorated and lettered, steel car ends, doors and roof, steel ladders, door guides and brake platform, cast metal roof walk, bolsters, coupler pockets and three piece brake detail, stamped metal undercarriage beam with fine cross bearers, corner steps, grab irons and more. Includes real sprung trucks. The factory paint is 'excellent' with only light storage wear and I have packed them in the original factory wax paper sleeve and put them inside the instructions so it will not be damaged in shipment. The kit has never been started. The small parts are still in factory sealed envelopes and all other parts have been inventoried complete including instructions. The F-86 Sabre was manufactured in Australia for specific RAAF needs. The largest change was the installation of the Rolls-Royce Mk26 Avon turbojet which had more thrust than the US engine. This in turn required a larger intake. Two Aden cannons were fitted, one to each side. The first flight was in 1953 and a total of 113 were built. They had a long service life and served overseas as well as in combat in Malaysia. When the service life ended in 1971, the aircraft were mothballed. However, the Australian Government gave 16 to Indonesia as a gift in 1973. Very nicely molded conversion uses the Fujimi F-86 as a base kit. Includes very colorful decals for one Indonesian unit. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The parts that were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including decals and instructions.

Very rare. NOTE: builder kit only. Normally I don't buy kits in this condition, but Ideal made the only model ever available of this ship and this is the largest scale. Dated 1950 and measures 18 inches long when built. Wooden kit with pre-shaped hull and printwood parts, as well as highly detailed three-view plans with hull cross sections, numerous superb detail drawings, very good instructions with additional building illustrations, full rigging diagram and sail details. Certainly one of Ideal's better kits. NOTE: this kit has minor, neat assembly. The three main decks, stem and keel have been glued to the hull, and the hull has been fully sanded and shaped. Quality of all work is 'excellent+.' Please NOTE that you receive the following parts with this kit: hull with assembly as noted, two sheets of never cut printwood, one partial sheet of printwood, never used cardstock sheet of printed walls and rails, large color flag sheet and excellent plans. All wood parts are present except for the rudder and support, foremast base and supports and funnel base. These parts are shown full size on the instructions so they are easy to make. Please note that is all that is included. There is no generic wood stock, wood dowels, or fittings, but these are easily found on line.

Still factory sealed. Very nicely molded kit featuring optional parts for B or E variants, all fine recessed panel lines, good cockpit and gear well detail, full landing gear, wing drop tanks and decals for two different aircraft. The B-47 was a very advanced aircraft at the time. The XB-47 first flew in 1947. The big jet's speed was equal to or greater than all current fighter aircraft, so it received radar-controlled twin 20mm cannons in the tail as the only guns. Through the use mid-air refueling, the B-47 gave SAC it's first all-jet force for nuclear or regular bomb delivery. Although it was tricky to fly, Stratojets flew into the mid 1960s. A program to strengthen the wings for low-level attack was responsible for prolonging the service life.
