From 1960. This model is the zenith of the ITC Design and Engineering Team, and maybe of all operational plastic model kits. It is not only rare but is considered the most complicated operating model ever produced. The large 24.75 inch submarine sails from the power of a large electric motor driving twin geared propellers. It changes headings, dives, surfaces, and a Regulus II missile comes out of the hanger and launches...all automatically. The engineering on this kit is fantastic and a major break-through for its time. The model worked, and did work well, but was certainly not a toy for inexperienced model builders. The high price ($9.98) and difficulties that youngsters had with assembly and operation made for a short production run. The fact the ITC left the model business for good shortly after releasing the kit contributed to the scarcity as well. The boxtop grades 'fair++' because of stains, wear and several (correctly done from inside) repairs for seam splits. Inside, the kit is in excellent condition. It has never been started. The motor, chain, shafts, screws and all small metal parts are still sealed in the heavy-duty factory bag. All of the other parts have been inventoried 100% complete. The blue display cardboard is all present and in 'good' condition. The decals and instructions are very good condition as well.

Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. Wonderful boxart by Russell W. Arnold. The Paddy is molded in light blue, includes two figures, vacuform billowing sails, a display stand, hanging lanterns and rigging instructions. This kit has never been started.
