Very old Tamiya Mokei issue with the high gloss box top and very collectible artwork. Nicely molded with all recessed panel lines, working flaps and retractable landing gear. This kit is intended to be motorized with a Mabuchi Motor, which is not included. The model as never been started. NOTE: missing the stand/base. Otherwise inventoried complete with all other parts, decals and instructions.

Early 1960s Japanese kit with very collectible box art and high gloss box top. Nicely molded and detailed. Features moving control surfaces, retracting landing gear and rotating prop and wheels. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The instructions show a motorizing option, but the sealed parts included a normal clear Nichimo stand - which is not shown with the instructions. So this is likely a later issue with no provision for motorizing but still with the old instructions.

Still factory sealed. Nicely done older Airfix kit from the 1960s with the Type 3 logo. The legendary Stormovik gave the Germans nothing but trouble on the Eastern Front. Designed as a heavily armed single seat or dual seat attack aircraft, the Stormovik was very difficult to shoot down; even then if the pilot could crash land it, he had an excellent chance of walking away and flying again the next day. Il-2M3s endless attacked German forward and rear positions effectively and in large numbers till the end of the war.

For this release, Aurora changed to the full color 'Aurora Line' rectangular logo, dropped the 'national insignia' left-hand box top border and retained the original artwork. 'A' was added to the part number and the price extension was raised to '79' from '69'. Kit is molded in the correct beautiful metallic dark blue and clear and has the rectangular clear stand, correct decals and correct instructions. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Before plastic kits were introduced, Strombecker was famous as the premier hardwood, preshaped model manufacturer. In the 1940s and 1950s, Strombecker kits were flawlessly engineered but not inexpensive. All wooden parts are quality hardwood (not balsa) and are smooth precarved to final shape - usually only a quick sanding would finish them. When complete it makes an impressive desk top display with a 10.5 inch wingspan. Never started. 100% complete with all parts, decals and detailed plans, instructions.
