Early 1950s first issue with old 'Aurora Line' rectangular logo. This kit was issued shortly after moving to the West Hempstead facility on Long Island. The side logos are the old Brooklyn style but with the new address in the lower bar. Molded in the correct glossy light blue and clear with the early style Aurora rectangular stand, correct Tatem Company decals and the correct instructions. Never started. Very, very rare 'cartoon' box art first issue. Even rarer in never started, complete condition like this example. Stock version veatures detailed, 2x4 carburetor V-8 engine, detailed suspension and steering linkage, steerable front wheels and full interior. 'The Machine' funny car features blown V-8 engine, excellent rail frame, racing cockpit and roll cage, good suspension and steering linkage and lift-off body. Molded in the correct gloss white, clear, chrome plate and with 8 rubber tires. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Decals are 'very good++' and the instructions are 'excellent.' I did not see any tire burn on the parts, so there are either none or they were very, very minor.

Excellent overall detail including rear airstair and very large colorful decal sheets for United and American Airlines. NOTE: this kit has minor assembly. The horizontal stabilizer halves are assembled to 'near mint' quality. The wing halves are built to 'excellent++' quality. The flap and aileron hinge covers are assembled to the wing with 'good+ to near mint' quality. There is no other assembly. NOTE: there is painting and decal application as follows, all done very neatly - fuselage halves, engine nacelles and horizontal tailplane spray painted silver. Can be removed with DOT3 brake fluid, spray oven cleaner or any other tested plastic paint remover. The American Airlines decals are very neatly applied to the fuselage. United decals are untouched. There is no other paint or decals applied. Inventoried complete with all parts, United decals and instructions present.
