Revell Moon Ship (XSL-01) 'S' Kit, 1/96, H1825-79

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Mint

The result was this Moon Ship with incredible box art. The box art invites you to 'Enter the Age of Space' with these action features: retractable landing ski, removable fuselage section with detailed cabin with controls and instrument panels and a crew of three astronauts. The box is in 'Mint' condition. The color and gloss are perfect. The box looks as if it was just removed from the original shipping box. Molded in correct baby blue plastic. Revell F-94C Starfire Intereceptor Pre 'S' Kit, 1/56, H210-79

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

1954 Pre-S issue. This is the third issue. The first issue was in the simple one-piece box and Revell quickly converted to this two-piece box as it was much more durable and a full-color lithographed 'slick' could be used. For the second issue, Revell added rivet and raised panel line detail as well as landing gear, and went to this box and H210-79 kit number. The famous 'Globe' clear stand was added, but the 2nd issue has the rare one piece stand arm and the instructions reflecting that. The 3rd issue (this kit) is identical to the 2nd issue except that the 'Globe' stand was changed to the sturdy 3 piece arm version. The model has never been started. The parts are either still in the factory sealed bag or have been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Features full cockpit and interior, positionable pilot and copilot figures, two positionable crew members, optional position crew doors, detailed rotor head, small or large rocket loadout, machine guns and US Army Vietnam-era decals. Strombecker Convair XF2Y (Yf2Y-1) Navy Sea Dart Supersonic Float Plane - With Rivet Detail - (XF2Y1), 1/60, D25-100

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG++

From the 1950s. Nicely done kit for the time. Molded in dark blue plastic. The limited first issue is the same part number and in the same box but has no rivet detail on the aircraft. The second issue (this one) does have rivet detail. Never started. NOTE: missing decals. Otherwise inventoried with all parts and instructions. Strombecker was very well known for producing the finest pre-carved hardwood aircraft and missile kits, but they had a very short journey into the plastic model field. After making the Sea Dart kit in 1956, they added four more for a total of 5 injection molded aircraft kits. All were discontinued in the mid 1960s. The Sea Dart was a supersonic design that could take off and land from water using retractable hydro-skis. Five prototypes were built and over 300 test flights made. The advent of the super carrier spelled the end of the Sea Dart, although 4 still exist on display today.
