Very rare kit. First and only issued dated 1959. This is the SM-75 Thor kit with additional parts for the top end to change the IRBM to a Pioneer Satellite Launch Vehicle. Features removable nose cone to show the satellite, retro-rocket and 'Pioneer Rocket'. Full launch pad, service tower, launch crew and flexible fuel and control lines are also included. Never started. The launch pad and service tower is complete with all parts. The missile is missing one of three tiny 'Control Cable Connector'. I had a resin reproduction made of the missing part and it is included. Includes all three decal sheets and instructions in excellent condition. Original tissue paper is included as well.

Rare first issue dated 1961. This is a one-owner kit purchased new in Lexington, KY on July 10, 1963 by a discriminating collector. This was the only issue including this impressive list of features; all later issues in the 1970s only had the parts to make one version. Very high quality model with excellent moldings. Can be built as a coupe or cabriolet with the top up or down. Features removable hood, stock or detailed Merc Flathead engine and engine compartment, full underside and chassis, complete interior and opening rumble seat, rear mounted spare, mag wheels with Goodyear 60 wide street tires and many more custom and optional features. Molded in gloss tan and black with chrome plated parts and rubber tires. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: the box displays better than the 'good' grade but is graded as such because there are three small areas of litho damage on the left short side.

Like most Japan issues, this one contains extras: a huge decal sheet to make one of more than 10 different aircraft and a large, full color painting guide/poster. Early box art is dated 1967. Large scale (1/32) kit features detailed Nakajima Sakae engine with removable cowling, opening canopy to show complete cockpit, movable wheels and propeller, optional position landing gear and pilot figure. From Wikipedia: Andrei Pervozvanny (Russian: Андрей Первозванный- St Andrew the First-Called) was a Andrei Pervozvanny-class predreadnought battleship built for the Imperial Russian Navy during the mid-1900s. The ship's construction was seriously extended by design changes as a result of the Russo-Japanese War and labor unrest after the 1905 Revolution, and she took nearly six years to build. Andrei Pervozvanny was not very active during World War I and her bored sailors joined the general mutiny of the Baltic Fleet in early 1917. She was used by the Bolsheviks to bombard the rebellious garrison of Fort Krasnaya Gorka during the Russian Civil War in 1919 and was torpedoed by British Coastal Motor Boats shortly afterwards, as part of the allied intervention in the Russian Civil War. The ship was never fully repaired and was scrapped in 1923.
