Designed for Air Ministry specification B.1/35 for a two-engined heavy bomber, the Warwick was to replace the Wellington and used the same sturdy geodetic 'basket weave' construction. However, the prototype orders were canceled in 1936 to concentrate on four-engine bombers. Vickers completed two of the prototypes anyway. RAF Coastal Command liked what it saw and eventually 712 Warwicks were produced and used for transports, air-sea rescue, meteorological recon and anti-submarine work. One saw use as a BOAC Transport and the aircraft was used by the Air Forces of Poland and South Africa. Unstarted and complete. The Contrail Warwick is still factory sealed. It features well molded vac parts with numerous injection molded parts (gear struts, wheels, engines, etc). The Matchbox Wellington (required as a base kit for the Contrail accessory pack) is bagged, not boxed. It has not been started and is complete except NOTE: missing one part, a small gear door. With decals and instructions.

1972 Big A logo issue of this famous kit. Features a one-piece full hull, prop and rudder detail, rotating turrets, separately molded and positionable 5" secondary battery and quad 40mm AA battery, two float planes and catapults, display stand, name plate and decals. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. I have good memories of this model - because of the one piece hull, it floated very well. That and the "good" detail made it an ideal platform for BB gun target practice on my friends lake.

1950s issue with excellent box art. The kit inside is a near-copy of the Highway Pioneers Model T. Premier intended to capitalize on the Gowland/Revell 1/32 classic car popularity; how well they did is unknown. The box art is definitely better than it's rival, but the kit is more basic. Molded in black with a metal wire frame windshield. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including instructions.

Very rare and in amazing condition. All original, one owner promo obtained new in 1967 by a discriminating collector. Features brilliant deep red color and red-line tires. Color and gloss are like new, as is the chrome, clear and tires. Complete with all parts. Although I can't imagine how it could be better, I'll grade it 9.8 out of 10 as I hesitate to call anything perfect. The box is old and of the original style but it is not stamped on the end like the factory did; for that reason I presume it is not original to the model.

Excellent 1/24 scale stick and tissue World War II model designed for tow line flying. Features control that move from the dual cockpit control sticks and an opening nose - so you could have one of the many wartime wooden 1/24 Jeep Models roll out! (Jeep not included). Features several balsa printwood sheet, plywood print sheet for the heavy structural parts, factory cut spars and stringers and excellent, optional wheels or skis, full size detailed plans with instructions in text on the plans. Never started. The kit has been inventoried and it is missing 4 easily made parts: (1) W1 Rib, (2) W2 Ribs, (8) small gussets G1 and (12) small gussets G2. There plenty of each part present, so you can easily use them as patterns on flat balsa stock. Otherwise includes all other parts and plans. Little is know about Hobby Model Mfg. Company. They were located in New York, New York and had a fairly extensive line of nice kits; some are illustrated on the back of the box.

1960s issue for rubber or 1/4 to 1/2A gas power. Could be made RC with modern small and light servos and receivers. Features traditional wood/tissue construction, detailed full size plans, building instructions, hardware, wheels and canopy material, rubber, decal sheet (rare for Comet), yellow tissue and propeller. The kit has not been started. The small parts that Comet factory sealed are still factory sealed. All other parts have been inventoried complete with the plans. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

1973 release of the classic Four Star kit from 1963. This is one of a very popular series of World War II aircraft that Monogram originally released in the 1960s. The wings fold properly as on actual aircraft, the landing gear retracts including tail wheel and arresting hook and includes bombs, drop tanks and rockets. Well molded and detailed kit for that time. The model has never been started. The blue parts are still in the factory sealed bag; the black and clear parts were never factory sealed and have been inventoried 100% complete. Includes decals and instructions.
