Mach Dzik P52 Polish Navy (U-Class) Submarine, 1/400, 02

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed VG

$15

Still factory sealed but the seal has drawn the box top concave. Dzik and here sister Solol and her sister were the first submarines delivered to the Polish Navy once WWII began. By February of 1941 Sokol was patrolling the Bay of Biscay and Dzik followed shortly after delivery on October 11, 1942. Both of these ships achieved significant success in the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas, where they destroyed several enemy ships. Both subs outlasted the war and were returned to England. Dzik was then lent to the Danish Navy in 1946. Her active service ended in 1957 and she was broken up in 1958. Very nicely molded and detailed but certainly not a 'state of the art' Tamiya style kit. Features full hull with propellers and rudder, display stand, color paint guide on the back of the box with rigging diagram and full decals with flags.

SMP 1959 Chevrolet Impala 4 Door Sedan Promo, 1/25

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed VG

$35

Rare four door sedan. Original dealer promotional model; not a reissue. It has a metal chassis and is all original on the underside except the friction motor has been removed. I listed this as SMP, but it may have been AMT. The strongpoint of this model is the body, body parts, chassis and tires. These bodies were all celluloid plastic; this one does have some warping and is better than 90% of the survivors. The tires show no wear, the whitewalls are almost perfect and the bumpers are great except some slight chrome loss on the front one. The clear is missing. The fine trim and white cove have been correctly painted to 'excellent' quality by the previous owner. The box is not original. NOTE: I would only recommend this promo for restoration if you can find a donor windshield.

Hawk Ben Howard Ike Air Racer - with Race Pylon, 1/48, 629-50

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$30

1962 hardbox '50' cent issue with classic Bill Campbell box art. Very well made model with excellent fit and fine recessed and raised panel lines. Includes pylon display stand; excellent for use in a 1930s air racing diorama. Never started and complete with all parts, decals and instructions. The Ike was built by Ben Howard near the Old Chicago Airport (now Midway) and first flew in competition during the Thompson Trophy Race in 1932. It finished 7th with William Ong at the controls. In 1933 she finished 3rd with Roy Minor as pilot at an average speed 8 mph above 1932. In 1934, she finished yet another 8 mph above '33 with Harold Neumann as pilot and finished 4th in the Thompson.
