Matchbox Heinkel He-115 - Finnish Air Force or Luftwaffe (2), 1/72, PK-401

Dated 1983. Includes markings for Finnish LeLv 46 1942, Luftwaffe 1/Kustenfliegergruppe 706 Denmark 1940 and 1/Kustenfliegergruppe 406 Tromso Norway 1942. The last group took part in the attacks on Convoy PQ17 in June/July of 1942 in which 23 of 36 vessels were sunk by air attack and U-boats. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: one prop is missing one blade, so I have included another prop from an earlier version. It has all three blades but the last section of the prop shaft (which is not seen once it is assembled) is broken and missing.

Rare first issue from 1958 in the 'S' hardbox. The box is in investment-grade mint condition with perfect color and gloss, four solid corners (no repairs), no tags or tag marks, no tape or tape marks (except light discoloring from the original factory tape), no tears, fading and no missing litho. This hardbox kit is not the common soft-box reproduction. Very highly detailed with working launcher, opening doors, sliding ladders, rotating wheels, rubber tires, moving fins and a launch crew of three. Never started. 100% inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.

Second issue of this classic kit. Although dated 1956, this kit is from 1957 and carries the then-new oval sunburst with 'Famous Fighters' in the border. In keeping with a quick and inexpensive change over, the box utilizes the 1956 artwork, but yellows out the 'Northern Lights' rectangle and adds the new oval. Beautiful box with brilliant colors. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Still factory sealed. In the 1970s, MPC released the very popular Profile Series. Inside each box was a quality Airfix kit but with MPC decals to make any of the aircraft shown on the box top. The MPC issue has been very popular because it includes markings for both atomic bombers. A very nice kit for that time with many working features. Has very good interior stations, crew figures, elevating runs, rotating turrets, detailed engines, opening bomb bay doors, full bomb bay detail and weapons load, moving control surfaces and optional position landing gear.

Monogram Boeing B-52D Stratofortress with Jet Sound, 1/72, PA215

First issue of this legendary kit. 1968 model includes electric 'Jet Sound'. The top box is in 'excellent' condition, which is very rare. All four corners are solid and original, and there are no price tags, tape or marks from either. There is only light general wear as shown. When you lift the box top, the cardboard yellow overlay and clear cellophane is still intact and in excellent condition. Inside that, all cardboard display presentation parts are still present. The instructions, B-52 book and decals are present and in very good condition. Even the original, unopened tube of Monogram Glue is present. Contains 207 parts. Very nicely detailed. Features crew of three, detailed cockpit, elevating and traversing rear turret, opening and closing bomb bay doors, operating wing flaps, operating spoilers, optional position entry hatch and landing gear, and optional parts to display one nacelle open to show the jet engine. Never started. Some parts are still in the factory sealed bags. The parts that were never in factory bags have been inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Even the underside factory tissue paper is still present.

Airmodel Dornier Do-23G Bomber - Bagged, 1/72, 124

The Do-23 was the first genuine bomber in the resurgent Luftwaffe. Do-23 aircraft made up the bulk of the Kampfverbande (bomber units) along with the Ju-52 Auxiliary Bomber. Although the Do-23 was quickly phased out by the faster Do-17, Ju-86 and He-111, they remained in service for training, mine sweeping and insecticide spraying on the Eastern Front up till 1932. This kit has not been started and has been inventoried complete with all parts. NOTE: there is some paint splattered on the back of one vac sheet. This kit is not recommended for builders who are not experienced with vacuform kits and scratchbuilding.

Large scale, very highly detailed cardstock model. Has 1500 parts in 14 sheets. Beautifully color printed on quality cardstock. No painting required - just build! Features English instructions and illustrated showing good detail, but you should be experienced with cardstock before purchasing this model. Never started; nothing has been cut out and all the sheets are in excellent condition. 100% complete. In addition to giving us the name of an entire new class of warship, the Dreadnought did see action. The ship's immense, blade-like ram bow was used to its designed effect when on March 18, 1915, in the Pentland Firth, Dreadnought sighted, pursued,and rammed U-29, slicing the boat in half. All aboard U-29 were lost, including the highly decorated Kapitanleutant Otto Weddigen.
