Gordon British Mark IV Male Tank, 1/32

Wood and Metal Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

Sold

Very rare and highly detailed kit. Owen Gordon, of Fair Lawn NJ made a series of pre-fabricated wood and metal tank kits in 1985. This predated the great Bluejacket kits - they may have gotten the idea from Mr. Gordon. Kit features completely cut, formed and drilled hardwood main hull parts, smaller precut wooden parts, a vast number of cast metal parts, illustrated instructions and superbly detailed, full-size plans. The kit has never been started. Half of the metal fittings and small wood parts are all still in the factory sealed bags. One bag of metal fittings was open, and it was inventoried complete and the parts put in a zip lock. The bigger wood parts were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including instructions and plans.

Bluejacket British Mark IV, 1/32, 1201

Wood and Metal Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

Sold

Rare, excellent and detailed kit. In 1991 Bluejacket launched the 'Evolution of the Tank' series of hardwood and pewter 1/32 scale model kits of historically prominent tanks. The wood parts are completely pre-fabricated - no woodworking experience is necessary. Features completely pre-cut, shaped and drilled basswood parts, a very large number of Britannia Pewter and brass fittings and excellent step-by-step instructions. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed (the numerous fittings) are still in the sealed bags except one: the tread bag came opened. I inventoried them complete and placed them in a zip-lock. The parts that were not factory sealed (wood) have been inventoried complete including instructions.

Monogram Boeing 727 TWA - (ex-Aurora), 1/96, 5414

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good-

Sold

1978 issue after Monogram bought Aurora's molds. Monogram only reissued the best and most commercially viable models. In this case, they saw the molds could be improved, and the result is a much better and accurate kit, the best 'short' body 727 available in near 1/100 scale. Monogram added a network of very fine raised panel lines to the fuselage (the original had no panel lines), filled the deep e-doors over the wings and made them fine raised also, added wing fences and fine raised panel lines to the wings, added flap hinges to the wing undersides and added fine raised panel lines to the horizontal stabilizers. Monogram was evidently proud of the improvement, and even shows them on the assembly drawings. With full landing gear. Contains excellent TWA full stripes and window decals. This kit has not been started. The parts are still in the factory sealed bag. Includes decals and instructions.

Aurora Albatross D-3 - (Albatros DIII), 1/48, 104-69

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG++

Sold

Rare. Please note, this is a 'Famous Fighers' logo kit with the Parents' Magazine Logo and a 69 cent price extension. This is the first time I have seen a non-79 cent version of this kit. Just when you think you have Aurora figured out, another variation comes along! That would make this the true second issue of this kit - only two issues have the 69 cent extension, 1956 and 1957. Aurora had a big supply of these 69 cent boxes but the factory overstamped it and added the 79 cent extension. The kit is molded in gloss dark green and black. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The decals are 'excellent+' and the instructions are mint. The kit even includes the original Aurora factory tissue paper.

Also has standing pilot figure and swimsuit beauty with skis. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.
