Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

2006 reissue. Very large kit of the over-sized Luftwaffe transport that was originally designed as a glider for Sealion, the invasion of Great Britain. The glider was to be towed by a He-111Z tug. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including instructions. NOTE: instructions are photocopies from the Pyro kit. Any kit of a Dutch 17th Century Man-o-War is rare - this may be the only injection molded kit ever made of this famous subject. The Gouda fought in the Anglo-Dutch Wars. She was built about 1636 and was commanded by Jan Egbertsz Ooms. The Gouda and other ships from Witte de With's fleet were lost in a storm in early November 1653. Pyro did not cut molds based on popularity, but usually by the historical significance of the subject. This was not a good injection-molded model business practice, but many collectors and builders are grateful today for these kits.

Pyro Saint Louis - French Man-O-War, B210-400

In 1642 when Richelieu came to power in France, the country did not have a single ship that could compare with the English and Dutch Men-O-War. To rectify this, Richelieu purchased a few ships from Holland. His engineers studied these then built the Saint Louis. The ship had two gun decks and about 60 guns. She was rigged with a modern spiritsail, topsail and mizzen topsail. Pyro did not cut molds based on popularity, but usually by the historical significance of the subject. This was not a good injection-molded model business practice, but many collectors and builders are grateful today for these kits.
