1970s issue and an superb kit for that time. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Over 1000 Trackers were completed for the Navy as carrier-based submarine hunters. Grumman was awarded the contract in 1950, and in 1952 the first XS2F-1 flew. The large belly radome contained the PAS-38 search radar and the ASQ-10 MAD detector was in the tail. ALD-3 ECM performed DF (direction finding) duties, and the 70 million candle power spotlight lit up targets at night. Sonobuoys were held in both engine nacelles and offensive weapons included acoustic torpedoes, depth charges, rockets and conventional bombs. Trackers saw service in several other Navies including Canada.

The only flaws are very slight wear. Features pilot and ejection seat, two piece canopy, optional fuselage rocket tray, full landing gear, two wing drop tanks and 8 wing mounted rockets. Revell Bell X-5 Research Aircraft With Stamp, 1/40, H187-129

First issue from 1960 with great hardbox artwork. The box is in investment-grade 'near mint' condition with like-new color and gloss, four solid corners, no tape or price tags, no marks from tape or tags, no missing litho and no creases or fading. The only flaw is light corner wear. This model features variable sweep wings, retracting landing gear, detailed jet engine and movable control surfaces. Molded in white and clear and includes the famous Revell 'Globe' clear swivel base as well as a Master Modelers Stamp for this kit in 'excellent+' condition. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The X-5 was the first aircraft to change the angle of wing sweepback in flight, and paved the way for the legendary F-111 and F-14.

First issue from 1956 with Northern Lights logo. This was the only year with this logo, which was quickly replaced in 1957 with the famous oval 'Famous Fighters' version. Incredible 'near mint+' condition hardbox with no more wear than the kit would have upon leaving the shipping crate. This is a large 1/48 scale kit that was issued after Aurora purchased the molds from Helicopters for Industry. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.
