Second release dated 1959. Has sunburst inside the 'Famous Fighters' Aurora oval logo. Incredible artwork with brilliant colors. Investment grade condition with no fading, stains, stickers, tape or any marks. Box have very light edge wear as the only flaw. Classic 1930s Navy Biplane Fighter that is still famous for their colorful paint jobs at that that time. Cowl, tail and trim color would vary with the Aircraft Carrier (Ranger, Lexington or Saratoga) that the group was based on and the aircraft's position in the flight formation. Never started. 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions

Features all very fine recessed panel lines, colored photoetched parts, pre-cut masks, decals for four aircraft, incredibly detailed cockpit, gear wells and gun bays, complete engine that is a kit to itself, separately molded rudder and ailerons, extensive load-out, choice of canopies and much more. With a paint guide and two decals sheets for 'Yellow K' SG 10, Ceske Budejovice, Czechoslovakia, 1945; 'Yellow 14' II. Rare limited issue. Hardbox is dated 1965. Issued as a promotion with the famous TV show "12 O'Clock High," which centered on the exploits of USAAF B-17s flying over Hitler's Germany. The box is exceptional with great color and gloss, four solid corners, no repairs, no price tags or tape (or marks from either). Flaws include very light edge and general wear and a very slight 'crunch' and a light crease that did not show up in the photo. Has many working features: detailed engine with removable cowling, full cockpit and retractable landing gear. Molded in gloss olive drab and clear. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. Other kits in this rare series include the B-17 Bomber Formation (3 kits with a special stand and battle-damaged decals), P-38 Lighting, ME-109 (Bf-109), P-47, B-25, B-26 and Fw-190.

From the 1940s. Excellent wooden kit featuring all parts cut to shape, completely finished wheels, clear windshield, genuine Army Khaki roof covering, sandpaper and much more. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes 5 view plan with instructions. This kit is an part of an extensive line of Austin-Craft kits produced during and immediately after World War 2. Austin Craft was founded and operated by Clyde Austin and his wife Vera. They created model kits of numerous popular WWII military vehicles as well as all sorts of transportation from the 'Old West' including Buckboards, Ranchito Carts, Covered Wagons, Stagecoaches and more.

Comet North American F-100 Super Sabre - 12.7 Inch Wingspan Flying Balsa Airplane - Coke Bottle Issue, R10-59

Rare. 1950s issue flying model with the box art showing a Coke next to the young builders snack plate and finished product. Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction with high quality printwood, stripwood, wooden stock as required, clear vacuform canopy, fully formed wheels, covering tissue and detailed full size plans/building instructions with notes on how to fly the model. The model has not been started. Inventoried complete. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Pyro US Civil War Navy 36 Pistol, 1/1, G208-150

Hardbox issue from about 1966. In addition to cars, ships, planes and figures, Pyro added an excellent line of well-known and not-so-well-known life-sized (1/1) scale pistol and rifle models to their line. In each case Pyro gained access to the actual weapon during the kit design, insuring a very accurate model. This is a full size model features minute gunsmith detailing, movable trigger, hammer and ramrod and is molded in a bluish/gunmetal colored plastic. The kit has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions. NOTE: there is minor and neat assembly. Two parts (cylinder shaft halves) have been assembled to 'professional' quality. There is no other assembly. The Civil War Navy 36 was second only in popularity to the Western 44 1860 Army model. The 36 was known for its sturdy construction and reliability. It was a cap and ball type revolver and proved very popular among the early Western settlers and cowboys.
