The kit is dated 1966 but has the 'Viet Nam Action Kit' sticker at the lower right (although I don't recall the Navy using F6Fs in Vietnam!). This is a reissue of the popular 1950s large-scale Wasp kit. Fully motorized for operation in water - easily converted to RC with today's small and light rigs. Larger 1/500 scale ship with 32 aircraft, full hull with prop and rudder detail, three optional position elevators, detailed island and extensive AA weapons - dual 5 inch turrets, 40mm quad mounts and single 20mm mounts. There has been no assembly. NOTE: two airplanes are painted blue and three smaller parts have a little bit of blue paint on them. There is no other painting. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, flag sheet, decals and instructions.

Very nice stick and tissue kit from 1948. Features two sheets of quality printwood, strip stock in two sizes, covering tissue, balsa block, finished hardwood wheels, dowels for gear struts, rubber motor, plastic prop and bushing (may or may not be original to the kit), clear window material and excellent, full size plans in very good condition. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

1991 Revell of Germany issue. An older but very good kit of the famous Condor in the original civil transport roll. The highlight of this kit is the large and colorful decals for the two civilian airliners. The kit has never been started. It's ability to operate from rough fields and ease of maintenance quickly make it a favorite for feeder and independent airlines in the UK and overseas. Heron IIs were also selected by the RAF for the Queens Flight, which is a statement to it's reliability and safety

Strombecker was very well known for producing the finest pre-carved hardwood aircraft and missile kits, but they had a very short journey into the plastic model field. They made a total of 5 molds for plastic injected aircraft kits, the 1956 Sea Dart being the first. All were discontinued in the mid 1960s. One kit is this excellent X-1B. It is the rarer of the two releases as it contains the pilots bust molded into the fuselage (the other one does not). Includes full instructions with three photos of the real aircraft, full color decals, Strombecker kit catalog and an application for the Strombecker Model-Makers Club. Kit features include landing gear, clear canopy and display stand. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. The instructions and decals are in 'as new' condition.

Rare kit from 1961. Larger scale Pontiac features front wheels that can be steered, interior detail, custom parts and more. Molded in ivory/white, chrome plate, clear, red-tint clear and with rubber tires. Includes wild custom decals including '8 Ball.' The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: decals have significant bug damage. All assembly steps can still be seen clearly. The decal backing paper has bug damage, but the actual transfers have no damage. According to the instructions, kit number 531 was the motorized version of this kit and cost $2.98, quite a bit more than this non-motorized issue.

Rare kit from 1977 and an exceptional kit for that time. Measures 20.5 inches long when assembled. Very highly detailed with over 200 parts molded in color and a very large number of those are chrome plated. Builds up a realistic rolling chassis just like the real car, with all suspension, driveline and exhaust items present. Can be built as the classic roadster or the highboy. The kit features operating doors and trunk lid, operating windshield with wind wings, realistic steering from the steering wheel, super detailed Pontiac engine with six Stromberg carburetors, individual spark plugs and ignition wires, removable hood, detailed rolled and pleated interior and trunk, dash panel with S-W instruments, chrome plated under-carriage and Le Mans wheels, realistic rubber tires, custom chrome firewall with instruments, plated dropped front axle, flexible radiator hoses, optional top with detailed top bow frame and much more. Inside, the kit has never been started and is in factory-new condition. The parts that were factory sealed in bags are still factory sealed. The parts that were never factory sealed are inventoried complete and are still wrapped in the factory tissue paper. With instructions and decals. This kit has an interesting history. In the early 1960s Monogram invested in a series of huge 1/8 scale models with extraordinary details. The complete line consisted of the Big 'T' Street/Rod, Big Drag Competition Roadster, Big Rod Show/Go Roadster, Big Tub Custom Phaeton and the Big Deuce '32 Ford Roadster. The Deuce Roadster molds cost over $150,000 to produce - an absolute fortune at the time. The design work alone for the molds was $50,000. The total cost of the project was over $1,000,000 - in 1963 money. The result was a nearly flawless large American Automotive model that has never been equaled to this day. The Big Deuce was one of the series by famous customize Darryl Starbird and the first issues were in red or yellow bodies - this is the later black issue.

NOTE: builder kit only, please read carefully. Rare, large-scale model designed with assistance by Packard International. Very highly detailed. Kit builds a rolling chassis just like the real automobile. Features fully detailed V-12 engine and engine compartment, complete suspension, steerable front wheels, full interior, opening doors and rumble seat, opening and closing rumble seat steps, optional position windows, opening hood, folding luggage rack, optional luggage trunk and choice of convertible boot or top up. NOTE: this kit has neat, minor assembly. about 1/2 of the basic frame has been assembled as well as the front steering linkage. Assembly quality is 'excellent+' and the steering works perfectly. There is no other assembly. NOTE: kit has some painting. The body shell, engine block halves, frame parts, steering linkage, dashboard and running boards have been painted. Quailty of paint ranges from 'very good' to excellent.' The fender body shell has been lightly sanded but not painted. The kit has been inventoried with all parts and instructions present, NOTE missing small sticker sheet (decals). The fender shell and one tree of small parts are red; the other trees are light tan, black, wood tan, medium gray, chrome plate, clear and with rubber whitewall wheels.

Features removable body panels showing complete Packard-Merlin engine and firewall, sliding canopy and full cockpit, retractable landing gear, moving control surfaces and more. NOTE: this kit has near, minor assembly and minor painting. The pilot has been assembled and painted; quality is 'excellent.' Also, the cockpit parts are all painted with 'very good' quality. There is no other assembly or painting. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. NOTE: 1/2 of the tail wheel strut is broke in two; it is an easy fix as you simply glue both halves to the other side. One main gear strut is broken cleanly in two.
