Hasegawa North American F-86F Sabre - Decals for Two JSDF Aircraft, 1/72, 015

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc++

$15

Very nicely molded kit with fine raised panel lines, AIM-9 Sidewinder loadout, optional position speed brakes, two drop tanks and decals for two colorful aircraft. This kit has never been started. It is either still in the internally sealed factory bag or has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Entex Grumman F-14A Tomcat, 1/100, 8521T

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

$15

From the 1970s and probably from Tamiya molds. Very nicely molded with all recessed panel line detail, working swing wings, optional position landing gear, four AIM-7 Sparrow missiles, a display stand and decals for VF-124 and what appears to be prototype #5 (but I am not sure). The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: decals were partially stuck to the instructions. Not because of water damage, just age. They may still be good because the instructions came off on the decals, not the other way around.

Airfix Messerschmitt Me-110 - Craftmaster Issue (Bf-110), 1/72, 4-49

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

$24

Purchased new on September 28, 1965 in Cleveland Ohio. A flight of fast moving He-117 bombers moves through flak at altitude while the battle-damaged Me-110 keeps a watch for enemy fighters. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.

Airfix F-4B Phantom II - VF-74 USS Forrestal - Type Three Logo Issue, 1/72, 388

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good++

$34

Type three logo release from the 1960s. Features very fine raised panel lines, cockpit tub, seats and pilots, three piece opened or closed canopies, optional position landing gear, drop tanks and AIM-7 Sparrow missiles. Includes very colorful decals for a F4B from VF-74 USS Forrestal. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Airfix Blackburn NA 39 Buccaneer - T3 Issue, 1/72, 384

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$38

Type three logo from the 1960s. The Buccaneer was the world's first purpose designed low level 'below the radar' bomber. Low level strike aircraft have a shorter airframe life limit due to the stresses of low level flying, so the Buccaneer was designed to be very strong and even had many sub-assemblies milled from solid blocks of metal. Features working unique rotating bomb bay, folding wings and working arresting hook. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Airfix Dornier Do-217 E.2 - T3 Issue, 1/72, 383

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc+

$32

Type three logo issue from the 1960s. Features movable elevators, rudders & ailerons, elevating gun and rotating turret, cockpit detail, four crew members and rotating wheels and props. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Airfix Aichi D3AI Val - Craftmaster Issue, 1/72, 1227-50

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Exc++

$26

Still in the factory seal. From the early 1960s. Most Craftmaster kits have great box art and this is no exception. This is the black side panel issue and shares the same part number, box size and top art with the black-side panel issue. Inside is the older, quality Airfix kit. 'Craftmaster' was a marketing arrangement where MPC/Craftmaster marketed Airfix kits from England.

Aurora F-86D Sabre Jet, 1/48, 77-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG++

$59

Hardbox is dated 1960. Note the 'Famous Fighters' oval logo which is hard-to-find on this box art. Furthermore, there is no Parents' Magazine seal, so this issue is likely from 1961 or 1962. This model is a modification of the original Brooklyn U-Ma-Kit molds, featuring landing gear, two wing drop tanks, 8 wing-mounted missiles, extended rocket tray, clear triangle display stand and decals for 'YF-578.' Molded in gloss silver and clear. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Aurora AT-6 Texan, 1/48, 70-79

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

$45

Dated 1960 but actually from about 1963 because there is no 'Famous Fighters' in the border of the oval logo. This was a good kit for the time, featuring 'good' cockpit detail, pilot and student figures, rotating prop and USAF decals. Molded in silver and clear. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: one small part (a gear door) is yellow and not silver. It is from another issue of this same kit.

Hawk Continental Air Lines Jet Prop Viscount, 1/96, 506-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

$36

NOTE: ideal builder kit, but not collectible. Please read carefully. Rare model of the first commercial 'Jet Prop'. NOTE: The top half of the fuselage has been painted white (one thin coat only) as per the box artwork. You could use it or remove it with DOT3 brake fluid, spray oven cleaner or other safe plastic paint remover. NOTE: the kit has minor assembly. The wing halves and nacelles have been assembled. Quality of assembly is excellent - there are no gaps and no visible glue. There is no other assembly or paint. Two prop blades are broken neatly at the hub, but present so you can repair them. Inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.

Aurora Ryan X-13 Vertijet With Trailer And Launcher, 1/48, 376-198

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

$425

Old hobby shop stock that has never been up for retail sale. Very rare kit dated 1957; first and only issue. Very nice, large-scale model for that time with a fully operational mobile operations trailer. The aircraft is molded in gloss silver & clear while the trailer/launcher is bright yellow. The kit has never been started. When you open the box, it is exactly as it left the factory down to the packing tissue paper. The silver parts (aircraft) are still in the factory sealed bag. The yellow parts and clear canopy were never factory sealed and are inventoried complete. Includes 'excellent' condition decals and instructions. The box grades 'very good' which is rare for this kit. The red color is in unusually good shape, which is rare; as you may know, it usually ages poorly. The colors are bright and vibrant, all four corners are solid with no repairs, there is no fading, no tape, no price tags and no stains. Flaws include edge wear as shown and 3 small litho chips as well as creases visible at the lower left corner and center right. Although not perfect, it is one of the best I have seen.
