1970s issue that features traditional wood/tissue construction, quality print and stripwood, formed wheels, rubber motor, prop and thrust button, clear canopy material, tissue covering and detailed full size plans & building instructions. Never started and inventoried complete. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached their peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

First flown in 1938, the T-V was the only modern Dutch Medium bomber in service at the start of WWII. The aircraft was rugged, fast and handled well as evidenced by their performance during the Invasion of the Low Countries. T-Vs bombed and strafed ground troops outside of Rotterdam, attacked Ju-52 formations and supply concentrations/troops on the Meuse river. Hastily modified as a heavy fighter with 20mm cannon, the bombardier was able to bring down two Luftwaffe aircraft. Kit contains very high quality vac wings, fuselage and nacelles with two large trees of injection molded parts (engines, props, cowlings, landing gear, interior, rudders, elevator, guns, yokes, gear doors, etc) and a sheet of photoetched details with film instruments. Never started. All small, clear and PE parts are still in the factory sealed bags. The vacuform parts were never factory sealed and are inventoried complete. With excellent decals and instructions.

1970s stick and tissue large-scale flying model. Can be built as static, free flight or converted to electric R/C with modern light-weight components. I fondly remember building this kit in about 1974 and it looked very nice. Features several sheets of printwood, three sizes of strip wood, scale wooden props and hubs, plastic flying props, balsa blocks are required, fully carved and finished main and nose wheels and thrust buttons, dowels as required, clear window material, full size control surfaces and nacelle to fuselage fillet patterns, window cutting patterns, insignia sheet, full size plans, instructions and tissue. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes insignia and instructions.

Very rare kit from 1933. Although well known, balsa wood did not come into widespread commercial modeling use until the 1930s. Before then, aircraft kits were composed of hardwoods, bamboo, metal fittings and silk, fabric or tissue covering. This interesting kit bridges the gap between 'old' and 'new' (at the time) wooden kits. The parts are balsa, bamboo, metal and celluloid. The manufacture was Aircraft Models Company of America, 29 Bartholomew Avenue, Hartford Connecticut. They made solid and flying models and the original price of this model was $1.50 - rather expensive at the time. The high price was justified by the unusual complete nature of the kit. The prop blank is machined (not finished) carved, all ribs are completely cut out and notched, the nose block is machine carved, the wheels completely formed celluloid and balsa, the stripwood is cut to the proper width and height, there is clear celluloid for the windows, complete full size blue-print plans, metal bushings and washers, sandpaper, beautiful red tissue, a glass bottle of "Tissue Cement - Aircraft Models Company of American", a bottle of "Tissue Dope" (also labeled), a cork-sealed vial of red paint, and general assembly instructions. The kit has never been started. NOTE: it is missing 2 of 6 small brass eyelets (bushings) and 3 of 6 very small washers. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts, plans, instructions and supplies.

On April 9, 1935, this magnificent custom built automobile was delivered to Rudolph Carracciola, the Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix team driver. Rudy, with an impressive win record of 23 wins and 23 second places, had chosen this vehicle for his own personal transportation. Powered by the supercharged 5 liter engine, the large and heavy vehicle was an excellent performer and one of the finest cars of the 1930s. The model itself is from the late 60s/early 1970s and it is highly detailed for that time. Features over 150 parts, rolling chassis build-up just like the real car, steerable wheels, removable boot, highly detailed engine and full chassis, double spare tires, detailed interior, opening hood and chrome spoke wheels. The model is molded in brilliant gloss dark maroon, black, clear and a large tree of chrome-plated parts and rubber tires. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions.

The aircraft carrier Graf Zeppelin was born of great hope and eagerly anticipated by the German Navy; all of the aircraft (dive bombers, torpedo bombers and fighters) were developed and built. The Bf-109T was the fighter chosen and it certainly would have effective against all of the FAA designs. However, inter-service rivalry killed the Graf Zeppelin after it was launched. The 60 Bf-109T aircraft wne to the Luftwaffe, who used them at units based on airfields with limited runway length. Never started.
