Very rare. Likely from the 1940s. William H Low Co., of Braintree Mass., issued the 'Wilo Line' which featured a superb series of antique commercial firefighting equipment, all in 1/48 scale. Bill Low was the designer of all kits and he was a superb model maker. The scale is given as 1/2" and the finished model wagon is approximately 7 inches long without the horse hitch and ~ 12 inches long with it. The kits were very advanced for the time and shared many of the pre-fabrication methods of Hudson Miniatures. Wilo Line kits features "all parts in this kit cut to size and shape." Includes plastic injection molded spoke wheels, precut and machined large and small wooden parts, beautiful, metal stock, a sealed bag of smaller parts including a great many more fully carved wood parts, metal parts and full size plans with numerous drawings and detailed text instructions. There is even a big photo of the actual prototype. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed small-parts bags with the non-sealed parts inventoried complete including instructions/plans. The kits in this line include Amoskeag Steamer, Hose Reel, Hose Wagon, Chemical Engine and many others. In most cases they are the only kits in existence of these historic vehicles. Bill Low did design at least one 'non-fire truck' kit in his Will-O-Line - a Conestoga Wagon, advertised as being 1/24 scale, kit #B14 for $2.85 listed as "This is another Museum Piece by Bill Low." After seeing these fire truck kits, I do not doubt that.

Features all carved and smooth wooden parts, clear plastic canopy, full color decals, glue, sandpaper and special hardwood 'teardrop' shaped display stand. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts and plans. Before plastic kits were introduced, Strombecker was famous as the premier hardwood preshaped model manufacturer. All wooden parts are hardwood and are precarved to shape - you only had to glue, sand and paint to finish them.

The wheels roll, tractors can be hooked to the cannon which can be stowed in the 'travel' position. The gun can move into the 'fire' position off the tractors and can be realistically trained.

In September of 1942, Warrant Officer Fujita took off in his Glen from I-25 and became the only aircraft to ever bomb the continental United States when he dropped phosphorus bombs in two attacks on the Oregon coast. This rare kit dated 1958 and features a well detailed Thor missile, complete launching tower and ground crew of three. Molded in gloss white and medium gloss gray. Decals and instructions are in amazing 'near mint' condition. Never started and inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Please NOTE that the box displays much better than the 'good+++' grade. It is graded as such because at the factory, workers used black paint to remove the price extension from the kit number. The lower short side panel is neatly done, but they used a little too much paint on the top short panel and there is a run.

Still factory tape sealed. Have you ever wanted to build the world's first injection molded plastic kits? Well, now you can and for an affordable price. As you know, Frog in England produced the world's first plastic model kits starting back in 1938. Merlin Models receive permission for this very limited edition, exact replica of this historic Frog Penguin kit. Nicely molded model usually includes photocopies of the original Penguin instructions (I cannot confirm that since the kit is still factory sealed). In the late 1930s, before WWII, Frog created the world's first line of injection molded plastic model kits. Since Frog stood for 'Flies Right Off the Ground' and Frog had a famous line of flying models, the world's first all injection molded kits were called Frog Penguin for the bird that does not fly. The Penguin Hart was among the early pre-war releases by Frog.
