NOTE: Kit #2 has minor and 'professional' quality subassembly as follows: seat to floor. There is no other assembly. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. This finely molded kit from 1978 features good interior detail, optional position dive brakes, optional position landing gear, rotating props and wheels and bomb load. The Pe-2 first appeared in 1941 and was one of the fastest aircraft on the Russian Front. Two 1,100 HP M-105 engines gave it a top speed of 335 miles and she had a range of 1000 miles. Pe-2s served successfully as level bombers, dive bombers, ground attack, reconnaissance and even as fighters if need be. Post war saw use of the Pe-2 in a few Warsaw Pact air forces.
