1/508 H424-169 Revell USS Long Beach CG(N)-9 - Worlds First Nuclear Powered Cruiser Sea Power Issue

1961 Sea Power issue that includes the Master Modeler's trading stamp. This kit is a reissue of the classic 1950s "S" kit. It is well detailed and features a Regulus II Cruise Missile with hanger and launcher, nuclear reactor assembly with removable cover, helicopter, Terrier and Talos missiles with launchers, detailed superstructure, full sensor array and more. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: the instructions are very high quality photocopies from the 1982 issue. Also includes Long Beach trading stamp in 'good+' condition. CGN-9 U.S.S. LONG BEACH was the world's first nuclear-powered warship. She was launched in July of 1959 as the lead ship of the first new cruiser class since WWII. Originally designed as an all-missile cruiser, she was later fitted with two 5"/36 caliber guns amidships. After serving more than 33 years, she was decommissioned on 1 May 1995.
