NOTE: includes all parts but missing all paperwork (plans and instructions). Large scale plank-on-frame kit that measures 52cm (20.5 inches) when assembled. Very highly detailed. Features perfectly factory-cut hardwood keel, deck and bulkheads, quality stripwood and complete fittings made from wood or metal. Includes all rigging materials, full size plans and instructions. The kit has never been started. All of the small and medium sized parts are still in the sealed bags. The die-cut keel and deck were never factory sealed but are present.

Italeri Fiat BR-20 Bomber Italian - Japanese or German Air Forces, 1/72, 143

Features very good cockpit, cabin with all crew stations, 3 figures, detailed engines, optional parts for Br-20 and Br-20M, rotating nose turret with elevating gun, separately molded ailerons, elevators & rudders and more. Includes decals for all variants. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The BR-20 first flew in 1936 and quickly became the best of the Italian medium bombers. In 1939 it set a new world record in it's category of an average speed of 400 kp/h. It saw action in the Spanish Civil war and with the Japanese in China. The Germans used the BR-20 in the Mediterranean and the aircraft was even exported to Venezuela.

From the 1960s and a very nicely molded kit. Includes a realistic standing figure of the famous Amy Johnson. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. Frog is considered the father of injection molded model kits. The Lines Brothers opened Frog in 1932, capitalizing on the fever caused by Lindberg's solo transatlantic flight. Almost overnight the western populations became 'Air-Minded', and anything aviation was in high demand. Frog created a quality line of stick and tissue rubber powered aircraft and gliders as well as innovative ready-to-fly rubber powered aircraft that required no assembly. The box even contained a built-in rubber motor winder and fuselage holder. Model airplane flight competitions were popular in Great Britain, and one category was 'Rise Off the Ground', or ROG. By changing this to 'Flies Right Off the Ground', the FROG name was born. In 1936 Frog created a line of injection molded plastic models, the first such kit line in the world (Hawk sold a line of injection molded aircraft models in 1934 but they were factory assembled and painted). Named 'Penguin' after the bird that does not fly, the kits were innovative beyond the means of production. At a time when models were simply built by wingspan, the Penguin line was a constant 1/72 scale. Furthermore, a large 1/72 Short S.30 Empire class flying boat contained a full interior and lights! A line of accessories such as AA guns, tractors, hanger, ambulance, sound locator, searchlights and lighting kits were quickly added to the line. WWII caused a pause in production. After the war the box color changed from silver to green, and Penguin kits were also marketed in the USA. Production ended in 1950. Frog quickly expanded and released the Red, Orange, Black, Green, Gold Token, Spin and Comet series as well as Trail Blazers and several others. It is noteworthy that while most manufacturers in the 1940s/50 were making toy-like models, Frog attempted to make very realistic models. For example, 'detailing' kits with excessively large rivets was once very popular. Frog ignored this trend and continued to mold aircraft with fine panel lines and no rivets. As a result, Frog kits can be built into very realistic replicas. Production ended in the late 1970s, but Frog molds are still in use around the world.

Rare 1957 'S' issue with the famous box art. In the 1960s these molds were modified to make the P-3C Orion, making a reissue of this kit impossible. Features optional position cabin doors, rotating props, optional position landing gear, large colorful decal sheet and famous Revell 'Globe' clear swivel-base stand. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Please NOTE that the box displayed as 'Near Mint' but is only as 'excellent' because there is a 1"x1" area of impact damage on the lower long side, at the far lower right.

Revell USS Yorktown - CV-5 Aircraft Carrier, 1/490, H383-300

First issue dated 1967. The Yorktown was one of three prewar sister carriers along with Enterprise (CV-6) and Hornet (CV-8). The Yorktown saw extensive action in the Coral Sea, the first sea battle in which opposing forces did not sight each other from warships. At Midway she fought alongside Enterprise and Hornet to help sink 4 Japanese carriers, but was lost after the battle after an epic struggle to save the ship. Very nicely molded and features 20" long full hull with propeller and rudder detail, internal hangar decks (fore and aft) that are visible through side hangar doors, 20 Douglas SBD Dauntless airwing (well molded with raised panel lines and propellers), movable cranes, separately molded AA guns and catwalks and optional position elevators. For that time this kit does a good job of representing the detailed differences between the Yorktown and Hornet & Enterprise. Never started. It has been inventoried with all parts and instructions present. NOTE: missing decals. Superior replacements are available through Starfighter Decals on-line.

Early 1st release in a 1962 dated hardbox. The famous Memphis Belle was the first 8th Air Force Bomber to complete the 25 mission rotation over Hitler's Germany. Has many operating features including rotating gun turrets, elevating guns, working ailerons, elevators, rudder and even trailing edge wing flaps, opening bomb bay with bomb load, rotating propeller & wheels, retracting landing gear and more. NOTE: this kit has very minor assembly as follows: two tiny windows are glued to the right fuselage side. There is no other assembly. Inventoried with all parts, decals and instructions present. NOTE: the main wheels are a slightly darker color of olive drab plastic; they are from a later issue of the same kit.

Features completely carved to final shape fuselage, wings with airfoil, four engine nacelles, tail feathers, turrets, gun sighting blisters, wing flaps and more, four plastic propellers, tricycle landing gear with all gear doors, weighted nose, a very large, full color extensive decal sheet and the original, sealed envelopes of casien glue. Very rare first issue and the motorized version. Early 1960s Japanese kit with very collectible, high-gloss box artwork. Clearly the artwork was met to represent a British tropical airfield, perhaps RAF Sembawang, Singapore during the Japanese onslaught. Features retractable landing gear, rotating or motorized rotating prop, rotating wheels, working wing flaps and ailerons, optional position canopy, all wiring and clear wired remote control battery holder. The kit is engineered for a Mabuchi Baby Motor but please note that Aoshima did not include them with the kit; there were sold separately. The model as never been started. All parts are still sealed in the factory clear internal bag. With the original tube of cement, decals and instructions.
