Very rare and award winning model (see box top). The 17 cm Kanone 18 in Mörserlafette (English: 17 cm Cannon 18 on Mortar Carriage and abbreviated as 17 cm K 18 in MrsLaf) was a German heavy gun used during World War II. The 17 cm K 18 in MrsLaf was a 172.5 mm (6.79 in) towed gun with a barrel 50 calibres long. The 17 cm K 18 in MrsLaf shared the same box trail carriage with the 21 cm Mörser 18. The carriage allowed transport of the weapon over short distances in one piece, whilst for longer distances the barrel was removed from the carriage and transported separately. A series of ramps and winches made removing the barrel a reasonably quick task for its time, but still required several hours. For all of the gun's bulk, a full 360-degree traverse could be achieved by two men. This is an excellent high-definition resin model manufactured in Belgium by Precision Models. They produced mostly German subjects, diorama parts and some figures. Jean-Pierre Dirkx was the founder and made many of the masters for Francois Verlinden. Never started and the parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes instructions.

NOTE: if this kit came with decals, then then are missing. The Focke-Wulf FW-281 was one of many of the Ta.183 projects. It resembled the previous P.VII type but the major difference was the turboprop HeS021 engine which provided the combined power of the nose propeller (driven through a long shaft) and the tailpipe exhaust. This project may have reached an advanced stage of development since it was assigned FW-281 and no "P" prefix.

The SM-79 was considered an excellent aircraft and one of the best land based torpedo bombers of the war. Designed and serving as an airliner from 1934 onward, 100 were supplied to the Nationalist Air Force for the Spanish Civil War where they served as day and night bombers. The aircraft performed well in the Med and against Malta, sinking many allied ships. This nicely detailed late 1960s/early 1970s model features moving rudder, elevator and ailerons, cockpit detail and torpedo loadout. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. Decals are in rare 'near mint' condition which is unusual for these kits. This kit is from quality Airfix molds and is one of the MPC issues with standard & custom decals, standard propellers or clear 'in flight' prop discs and the unique clear modular display stand. Dates from the late 1960s/early 1970s. Note that this issue still has 'Craft Master' under the MPC logo. Before this, MPC was marketing Airfix kits under the Craftmaster name in the USA. This continued for several issues and was finally discontinued although MPC continued to distribute Airfix and their own models.
