The P1052 served as the link between the straight-winged Sea Hawk and the swept-wing Hunter. In additional to the aerodynamic information the prototype was useful to collect information on operating swept wing jets off aircraft carrier. Highly detailed vac kit with better mold quality than most injection molded kits. Includes cast metal details and decals. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Maintrack Sikorsky Hoverfly II / R-6A - USAAF or RAF - Bagged, 1/72

Rare. The R-6A was a two seat development of the R-4, which was the first USAAF helicopter to serve in a combat zone. Nash-Kelvinator built another 219 under Sikorsky license during 1944-45. Features facuform main parts with many metal detail and decals for both versions. Never started. The metal parts are still factory sealed and the other parts have been inventoried complete. With decals and instructions.

J&L Curtiss-Wright T-32 Condor (YC-30 - CT-32) American Airlines, 1/72

First flown in 1933, the Condor II was metal and wood construction and powered by two Wright Cyclone engines. They entered regular and night service with Eastern Air Transport and American Airlines as 12-passenger luxury night sleeper transports. The military purchased two with the designation YC-30. Eight bomber variants were built as BT-32 and the CT-32 cargo variant was exported to Argentina. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Vacuform models are not for beginners. A certain amount of experience and scratch-building skill is necessary.

Contrail Convair B-32 Dominator, 1/72

The B-32 was the B-29s competitor for the US War Department, January 1940 very long range bomber requirement. The B-29 won the competition, but the B-32 was produced as a back up plan. The aircraft was plagued with teething problems and Consolidated was kept busy trying to solve them. The program was almost cancelled more than once. Finally, three B-32s arrived in the Pacific Theater for combat testing in May of 1945 and flew the first combat mission from the Philippines on May 29th. As more aircraft arrived in the Pacific most of the problems were eliminated and the B-32 was proven to be a tough, stable performer with excellent handling. Production was canceled at the end of the war. Features full decals for two aircraft including colorful nose art. Vac main parts with injection molded details and metal props, gear, etc. Includes drawing and photos of the real aircraft for reference. Never started. The small parts are still in the factory sealed bags; the big parts were never sealed and have been inventoried complete with decals and instructions.

Esoteric was known for making perhaps the finest vacuform kits. The moldings are crisp and have fine recessed detail - better than many injection molded kits. Every part needed to complete the kit is included down to the interior. Includes metal parts - decals - shaped struts and full instructions. Never started. The small parts are still sealed in the factory bags; the parts that were never sealed have been inventoried complete, with decals and instructions.

Esoteric US Navy Macchi M.16 Sub-Based Float Plane - 1920s (M-16) - Bagged, 1/72

Still factory sealed. Possibly the smallest aircraft to serve in the US Navy. During the 1920s, the Navy expressed interest in submarine based aircraft as the British had experimented with during WWI. They tried domestic models as well as one German and the Macchi, which they purchased three of. The experiments proved troublesome and the idea was dropped; no one knows what happened to the aircraft. Well detailed kit is typical high Esoteric quality. Features metal detail parts.

Nicely molded basic vacuform kit of this interesting aircraft. The J-10 was an all metal aircraft and was actually a modified J-8 (CL-1) ground attack fighter. 47 J-10s were build as a joint venture between Junkers and Fokker. This kit has not been started and has been inventoried complete with all parts. Not recommended for builders who are not experienced with vacuform kits.

It was a good as anything the Luftwaffe had and saw success during the invasion of the low countries, but it had not entered mass production so few were available. The kit has never been started. Esoteric Navy Northrop BT-1, 1/72, NAF-16

The BT-1 was the first Northrop aircraft for the US navy. John Northrop had just formed his aircraft company in 1929, and back then a government contract was the best way to stay in the business. The BT-1 was a scaled down Army A-17. 54 were produced, and the aircraft resulted in the creation of the famous SBD Dauntless dive bomber by Douglas when they acquired Northrop. Still factory sealed. Very high quality kit with metal parts and full decals. Esoteric kits were perhaps the finest vacuform kits made. The molding quality rivaled or surpassed most injection molded kits. Includes full interior detail. Complete and never started.
