LS was famous for superior quality and this kit is no exception. Exceptionally detailed with about 115 pieces molded in red, black, chrome, clear, red-tinted clear, metal and with rubber tires. Features metal gearbox with nylon gears, all metal hardware, real working metal spring suspension, detailed engine with opening hood, good driveline, suspension & exhaust detail, complete interior (with the batteries under the seat), opening doors and rear lower hatch and more. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes instructions. NOTE: missing decals, if it ever came with any. There are reasons to believe it may not or may have came with them. The beautiful box art is a rally car; but the kit inside is not the rally version. There is different box art and part number for the LS 1/166 Mini Rally version. Please note that LS did not furnish the the common RE-14 electric motor with this kit.

The detailed description on the back of the header says that this model includes 4 stanchions, 4 bushes, 2 girders, 5 roof trusses, 1 ridge, 2 lower roof sections, 2 end walls, 2 side walls, 2 finials, 24 glazing bars for a total of 48 parts with 2 transparent glazing strips.

This popular model is a reissue of the famous 1950s 'Four Star' kit, which was the 6th plastic aircraft kit that Monogram produced. Ideal builder. Molded in silver and clear like the original. True first issue from 1955. Rare. This first issue has a part number of 'P6-98', early rectangle logo, black rubber main gear tires and no support peg to keep it from being a 'tail sitter' when assembled. The second issue is 'PA6-98' with a modified box top log and modified molds with regular plastic tires and a post to keep the nose gear on the ground; the instructions were modified to show this as well. Early Monogram model dated 1955. The box is in e'xcellent+' condition with great color, four solid corners, no creases or price tags, no fading, rips or tears. The only flaws is very light wear and a very small piece of clear tape on the upper long side. This is the third issue of this kit since it has 'PA6-98' and 'The Name For Quality Hobby Kits' in the box top logo (the second issue has 'Four Star Plastikit' in the logo). The actual release for this kit is probably in the late 1950s or early 1960s. Although created to 'box scale' (1/67 in this case), this model was very popular and remained in the catalog right up into the 1970s. Molded in the correct gloss silver and clear. The kit has never started. Inventoried with all parts, decals and instructions present. NOTE: two tiny gun barrels are broken off one wing, but there are present and an easy repair.

The box displays better than the 'good+' grade but that is because there are two tape tears on one short and one long side.
