Revell Western Figures Set - Miniature Masterpiece, 1/48, H509-98

Rare early Revell kit from 1955 that is in amazing, investment-grade 'near mint' condition. Very well molded and detailed model containing everything you need for the western diorama as shown on the box top: nine animals, six cowboys, fence, saddle, pail, packs, rifle, skull, wagon wheel and more. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed 'krinkle' bag and includes instructions. 'Miniature Masterpieces' was formed through an alliance of Lew Glasser (Revell) and Steve Adams (Adams Action Models) in 1953. Although the molds were made at Adams and it had the appearance of an independent company, the firm was run by Revell down to the prototypes being made at the Revell plant. Originally there was no evidence of the parent company on the surface. The State Coach of England was the first kit, issued in 1953. More kits of excellent quality followed. Revell completely took over the line in 1954 and in that year and the next, kits were labeled 'Revell' with a 'Miniature Masterpiece' label on the box top also.

MPM Fairey Battle Tmk.I Trainer - RCAF Royal Canadian Air Force Kingston Ontario / Polish Flying Service Training School Hucknall 1941, 1/72, 72096

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

Sold

A very nice kit of a rare subject. The Fairey Battle may have been state-of-the-art in 1936, but by the onset of WWII it was badly outclassed in every way. Losses were so high that by mid/late 1940 they were all but completely withdrawn from front-line service. However, there was a need for training and 100 Battles were built as dual-control trainers with separate cockpits. Another 266 target towing variants were also supplied. This is a very nice kit will all fine recessed panel lines, superb resin cockpits, detailed gear wells and more. Includes paint guide and decals for both aircraft listed. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

Joe Ott Curtiss Pursuit With Ott-O-Matic Formers - 22 Inch Wingspan Flying Wood Model, 2223

Wood Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

Sold

Rare kit from the 1940s or very late 1930s. Every rarer in this condition - with a complete box and all contents never disturbed other than when I did the inventory. This is very unusual due to the age and their very fragile nature. This model is one of Joe Ott's mid-range line in size and price. It features glue in a metal tube, 2 sheets of the unique Ott-O-Matic formers on thick stock, very thin hardwood wing ribs and prop, factory-cut stripwood stock, a factory sealed paper envelope for the small parts (usually consists of fully carved thrust button, main wheels and metal prop shaft/rubber motor hook), clear material for windows, color insignia, covering tissue and excellent plans. The kit has never been started. The loose parts have been inventoried complete, and the paper envelope is still factory sealed.
