Dated 1958 but the 39 cent suffix and logo make it from the very early 1960s. This is a nice, small-scale kit that features a clear canopy, complete landing gear, display stand and decals for 'FB-419.' Molded in silver and clear plastic. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes 'near mint' condition decals and instructions.

Rare Airfix Japan issue. The Mauretania and her sister Lusitania were considered the finest and most beautiful ships of the day, both inside and out. Launched in 1907, she quickly won the Blue Riband from the 'Kaiser Wilhelm II' for the fastest Atlantic crossing. For more than 22 years she was the Queen of the Atlantic liners. She saw extensive service in WWI as an armed cruiser, transport and hospital ship. In 1922 she was converted from coal to oil and set another record in 1931 when she crossed the Atlantic 4 times in one month. Sadly, she was scrapped in 1935 as the Queen Mary neared completion. Never started. Factory sealed internal bag with decals and instructions.

Dated 1966 but is actually from the later 1960s judging from the $4 price extension. Softbox issue of one of Revell's best-selling ship kits of all times. From the same molds of the highly detailed Pre-S kit and features beautiful box art by Jack Leynnwood. Kit features excellent detail, vacuform sails, rigging material, preformed ratlines, colorful flagsheet and more. The kit has never been started. Some parts (the tan ones) are still in the factory sealed bags. The parts that are not internally sealed (black ones) have been inventoried complete including flags, ratlines, rat line cutting pattern, vac sails, rigging material and instructions.

Very well detailed with full interior; so good, in fact, that they later issued the 'Visible B-17' from this kit simply by making a clear left fuselage half. Never started. The decals, instructions and Diorama Sheet are all in 'near mint' condition and even the 'Wild Blue Yonder' sweepstakes form is present.

Roughly 1980s scale stick and tissue rubber powered flying model. Includes die cut balsa parts, vacuform nose/spinner, wheels, plastic propeller, hardware, vacuform canopy, colored tissue, insignia and full size plans with detailed building instructions. The model has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions/plans present. Guillow's founder, Paul K. Guillow, was a WWI naval aviator. In 1926 he began producing wooden model airplane kits. His 'Shelf Models' were some of the earlier non-flying models in production. Guillow's grew during the model boom of the 1930s, and when the Depression hit the hardest, Guillow's responded with lower prices and became one of the low price leaders, frequently advertising in Model Airplane News and other leading publications. During the war, like most manufacturers, Guillow's was forced to alternative materials such as cardboard and pine. Guillow's survived the post WWII slump by creating many inexpensive profile flying rubber powered aircraft and gliders in the 1950s (along with North Pacific) which became famous - some are still available today. The stick and tissue lines have been updated with laser cut parts and are still in production as of 2009.
