First issue in the 'tall' box dated 1977. This is the issue with the desirable Diorama instructions. This is an excellent model featuring full interior, optional position bomb bay with bomb load, rotating turrets and elevating guns, optional position crew hatch, and rotating props. Never started. The smaller parts are still in the clear sealed factory bag and the other parts have been inventoried complete with decals and instructions present.

Comet Curtiss Jenny JN-4D - 24 inch Wingspan Flying Balsa Model Airplane, 3304-198

Large wingspan flying model can be powered by rubber, electric or made R/C with the modern tiny and lightweight servos and receivers. Features traditional wood/tissue construction, die-cut quality printwood, factory cut stripwood and spars, fully finished wheels and thrust button, clear material for windscreens, plastic prop, rubber motor, wire stock, covering tissue, decals for the box art aircraft and full size plans. The model has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete. Please note that the box is only graded 'fair' to due age foxing and many repairs with clear tape. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Megow SS Normandie Ocean Liner - 1930s, K5

This is the correct box for this kit. Megow used this generic box for over 50 different model kits; you could only tell what was inside by reading the ink-stamped part number and contents on the end flap. Rare small-scale kit from 1936 of the Normandie in her launch (pre-rebuild) configuration. Megow carried an extensive line of unique and historical ships. This is one of the 6" long series and it features quality balsa printwood for all of the various decks and hull stands, stock balsa and full size, three view plans with text building instructions and cut-out promenade deck windows for port and starboard sides. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and the plans/instructions present. Please note that Megow used a generic box (with this aircraft on it) for all of the models of this size. The only way to tell what kit is inside is to read the factory ink stamped part number and kit name on the left end panel.

Type Three logo kit from the 1960s; one of two variations of this logo. Note this one just says "AIRFIX-72" while the more common one says "AIRFIX-72 SCALE Bristol 192. The 192 first flew in 1958 and was the first helicopter in the world with true twin-engine safety, meaning that it could fly home and land safely at any gross weight. The kit features moving rotors, cockpit, clear windows and optional position doors. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.

Testors B-66B Destroyer - (A-3A) - Bagged, 1/72, 677

Bagged kit - no box. The box is shown for reference only. All parts are in the factory sealed bag with as-new decals and instructions. Hard-to-find 1/72 version of the gun tailed B-66. This is the USAF version of the very large Navy Skywarrior A-3 or "Whale" as the carrier crews and flight crews called it due to it's large size for a carrier aircraft. Features all recessed panel lines, detailed gear wells, cockpit detail and optional position landing gear. Contains a large, colorful decal sheet for two USAF aircraft - RB-66B 42nd TRW-England 1960 and RB-66B 19th TRW-England 1958. This is the early B-66 which is not that far removed externally from the original Navy A-3 Bomber. This B-66 still retains the tail stinger.
