Large-scale kit that is still in the original cardboard Combat shipping box with label. This is a big kit vacuformed in white. The kit consists only of the upper hull, lower hull, smoke stack and one other part as well as full size plans. It has never been started and is inventoried complete. Other parts will need to be scratch built or from your spares box. Vacuform kits are only recommended for modelers who are experienced with this type of model. This is the Mattel-Monogram issue dated 1973; the Mattel logo is on both long sides. Includes parts and decals for any one of the versions listed. Very well detailed for that time with full cockpit detail, gun bay with machine guns, cannon, ammo and removable panel, Allison V-1710 V-12 engine with removable cowl, opening cockpit door and external stores. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: decals have spotting and micro-cracks- be prepared to provide your own decals as these are complete but do not look good.

Rare original hardbox issue from 1958; not the 1990s reissue. The classic 'Four Star' armor kits were easily considered the finest of their kind for decades. All were superbly molded and well detailed; this one features moving tracks, moving winch, elevating and swiveling machine gun, operating doors, full interior and 9 realistic figures. Molded in dark olive drab with a clear windshield and rubber tires and tracks. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Please note that the box has writing on it as shown and tape tears on both long sides.

Dated 1962. First issue of this classic 'Action Model' with great detail and mold quality. Features opening canopy to show the highly detailed cockpit, tiny levers under the wings drop 2 bombs, a small knob on the bottom rotates and extends and retracts the main gear and tailwheel; all gear doors including tailwheel open and close automatically with the gear. Not only do these features sound great, but they work. My built kit is 30 years old and functions like new! Molded in silver, black and clear. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. This kit has an interesting history. In 1961, Monogram introduced the 1/32 scale Phantom Mustang. This was a very ambitious project. The kit was transparent, highly detailed and included two electric motors. One motor raised and lowered the main gear and tail wheel while the other spun the prop. Two small levers on the base dropped bombs from the wings. It was molded in clear, silver, black, red and zinc chromate green. Although successful, the kit was expensive to produce and Monogram charged a hefty retail price of $4.98. As a way to create more revenue from the molds, Monogram cleverly created this kit - using some of the same molds as the Phantom Mustang. The silver parts tree was completely re-cut and does not match the Phantom version. The red stand, gears and motorizing features were simply left out and the model molded in solid colors. The gear retraction/extension features was retained, but not motorized. On the new silver parts tree they added a small knob (placed on the bottom of the wing) and the same for the bomb dropping mechanism. This lowered the price to $1.98 and this additional revenue hopefully helped pay down the original mold costs.

This model is unique because it is designed for motorization and also has provision for working head lights. Very nicely molded. The one piece body is molded in white. All other parts are molded in black, dark brown, clear and chrome plated plastic and with rubber tires. There is a full interior, optional convertible top in the 'up' position or a 'down' position boot, steerable front wheels and more. The motorizing hardware - metal axle, gear, contacts, wire, etc. is included. However, Imai did not furnish the common FA-130 motor or two small bulbs with this kit; they had to be purchased separately. HO or N gauge railroad bulbs would work perfectly. Never started.
