HMV SMS Baden 1916 with Two PE Detail Sets - German WWI Battleship - Cardstock, 1/250

Cardstock Paper Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Exc+

Includes HMV #4277 Baden photoetch detail set with two large frets. It is still factory sealed. Includes about 200 parts with cranes, funnel tops, reel ends, capstan tops, railings, stairs with rails and much, much more. Features 7 sheets of richly illustrated building instructions. Never started; nothing has been cut out and all the sheets are in excellent condition. 100% complete. From Wikipedia: SMS Baden was a Bayern-class dreadnought battleship of the German Imperial Navy built during World War I. Launched in October 1915 and completed in March 1917, she was the last battleship completed for use in the war; two of her sisters- Sachsen and Wurttemberg- were incomplete when the war ended. The ship mounted eight 38-centimeter (15 in) guns in four twin turrets, displaced 32,200 metric tons (31,700 long tons; 35,500 short tons) at full combat load, and had a top speed of 21 knots (39 km/h; 24 mph). Along with her sister Bayern, Baden was the largest and most powerfully armed battleship built by the Imperial Navy. She was scuttled a Scapa Flow. However, she was the last ship to begin scuttling, and the British were alerted. As a result, she was the only capital ship not successfully sunk in the scuttling. The ship was refloated in July after which she was towed to the British naval base at Invergordon. The British, painfully aware of the shortcoming of some of their designs, examined Baden patiently and completely. In the end, naval historian Arthur Marder wrote in 1969 that it was his "considered opinion- which I know coincided with that of others engaged on the same job- that, considered as a fighting machine, anyhow on balance the Baden was markedly in advance of any comparable ship of the Royal Navy". The ship was expended in weapons tests, where it proved to be as tough at the other legendary German WWI designs.

Lindberg Chris Craft Constellation for R/C or Display - (ex-Marx), 1/20, 70814

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

Sold

2006 issue from the original excellent Marx molds, which were cut in late 1950s. Measures 30 inches long when built. This is Lindberg's R/C issue and it includes two electric motors, all necessary hardware, R/C and motor mounting plates...just about everything except batteries and a 2 Channel Radio. There is plenty of room in the vast hull for lighting, noise/speaker and any equipment or larger batteries you may wish to add. Molded in white, silver and clear with many brilliantly chromed parts. The molds were reportedly damaged in this run, which if true would prohibit a reissue. Never started. Almost all parts are still in the factory sealed bags. The few that were not have been inventoried complete, including decals and instructions.

Aurora Grumman F9F Panther Jet, 1/49, 22-100

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good-

Sold

Dated 1960, but I believe this is actually a later issue due to the 100 cent price extension and no 'Famous Fighters' logo on the short box sides. Molded in a brilliant gloss deep blue and clear with the clear triangle 'World' stand. These molds are from one of Aurora's first two kits - the F9F and F-90. Aurora simply went out and purchased the early Hawk F9F and F-90 kits and copied them almost exactly. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.
