This is a modern reissue of the originally rare Renwal Task Force "A" and "B" Ships. Includes all of the ships listed, which Renwal originally issued in two different sets labeled "Task Force A" and "Task Force B." Renwal did an excellent job on their ship models, so these are well detailed for such a small scale. Includes an excellent decal sheet which is a big improvement over the original issues. These are full hull (not waterline) models. Never started and the parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

Dated 1979 and a well detailed and finely molded model. Features 129 pieces, complete cockpit and full interior with floor and benches, optional position boarding doors and stairs and more. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. Horsas were perhaps the most advanced gliders built during WWII. They had full instrumentation, power operated flaps and brakes, a powered device for jettisoning the landing gear upon touchdown. The Horsa MkI carrier troops while the MkII carried vehicles which loaded through the swing nose and unloaded from an explosively-released rear fuselage after landing. Gliders carried in 20% of the reinforcements and supplies for D-Day, and most were Horsas. They also saw action against the German Heavy Water (Atomic Bomb) plants in Norway and targets in Sicily, Arnhem and the Rhine.

Nicely detailed older kit with markings for the three aircraft listed above. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Lufthansa was a pioneer in trans-oceanic mail services and the Do-15 and Do-18 grew to fit this need. Given the German interests in South America, it was no surprise that they established one of the first airmail services between Europe and that continent. This kit will build one of those aircraft, the Lufthansa South Atlantic Mail Aircraft (1938) D-AANE 'Zyklon' or the military version. The Do-18 was an improved D0-15 'Wal' and set several records during its long useful life.
