Monogram F-51D Mustang Action Model - White Box Issue (P-51), 1/32, 6847

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

Sold

NOTE: builder kit ONLY. Please read carefully. 1973 issue of this classic large-scale 'Action Model' from the original Four Star Monogram line. Has excellent detail for that time and many great features: canopy opens and closes to show highly detailed cockpit, prop and wheels turn, tiny levers under the wings drop 2 bombs and a small knob on the bottom rotates and extends/retracts main gear and tailwheel; all gear doors including the tailwheel open and close automatically with the gear. Not only do these features sound great, but they work. My built kit is 30 years old and functions like new! Molded in clear, silver and black. NOTE: this kit has many neatly assembled sub-assemblies as follows: the wing is completely built to 'excellent++ to professional' quality. The landing gear and bomb work perfectly. The fuselage is not built but the cockpit sides are painted green and two black instrument side panels are glued to them ('excellent++'). The elevator 1/2 are assembled to 'professional' quality. The bombs are built to 'excellent+' quality. The cockpit bulkhead and throttle quadrant are glued to the floor ('professional'). The radio halves are assembled and glued to their frame ('excellent++'). The rear fuselage bulkhead and one tail wheel door with retainer are assembled and work perfectly. A few small parts are painted like the gear struts, but nothing major. All the paint work is 'excellent' grade. There is no other assembly or painting. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.
