Very well detailed kit from the original Taimei molds. Taimei was the first to use the Aeroskin type process that was widely used by Renwal. Actually, the Renwal molds for the Voisen, Bleriot XI and Antoinette came from Taimei. The original internal frame structure and details of the aircraft is built from injection molded plastic. When complete, it is covered with a very strong fabric which is included. The result is a very realistic aircraft. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes instructions.

First issue dated 1968 of this legendary kit that features realistic 'Jet Sound.' Well detailed with 207 parts. Features crew of three and cockpit, elevating and traversing rear turret, opening and closing bomb bay doors, operating wing flaps, operating spoilers, optional position entry hatch and landing gear, and optional parts to display one nacelle open to show the jet engine. When you open the box, the white printed cardboard display presentation is still present, in 'new' condition and still contains a mint tube of 'Monoglue' plastic cement. The instructions, B-52 Book and decals are present and in 'excellent' condition as well, but the decals have curled ends. The kit has never been started. The motor and hardware are still in the factory sealed bag. The plastic parts, which were never factory sealed, have been inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions. The box displays much better than the 'good++' grade but I have graded it as such because there is a closed tear on one side panel and some clear tape formerly used to hold the box shut. You can safely remove the clear tape by soaking it in lighter fluid; this will render the tape adhesive useless, and then the tape will come off easily.

The P1101 was the first aircraft to have variable geometry wings. As part of the Emergency Fighter Program, the Messerschmidt was a promising design but was only about 80% done when the war ended. This model is interesting in that it models the V1 Prototype exactly as it was found by the allies or as a production aircraft. This means you can show the detailed jet engine without the cowling or install the cowl. V1 decal sheet even includes the painted on machine gun/cannon. Never started.
