Revell Grumman F11F-1 Tiger - 'S' Issue - (F11F1), 1/55, H249-89

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc++

$95

Original issue 'S' kit from 1956 with the fantastic box art that has made these kits so famous and collectible. The box is in remarkable 'Excellent++' condition with fantastic color and gloss. The only flaws are very light edge wear & shelf wear that is restricted to the side panels. The model features pilot and ejection seat, wing tips in the folded or flight position, full landing gear, detail main gear wells and more. Molded in the correct light gray and clear and includes the famous clear Revell 'Globe' swivel display stand. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. The decals and instructions are both in remarkable 'excellent++' condition.

Revell Russian T-34 Tank S Issue, 1/40, H538-129

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc+

$110

Rare original hardbox issue from 1958; not the common 1990s reproduction. The model features working flexible treads, rotating turret with elevating gun, optional position hatches, four troops and more. Molded in the correct gloss deep green and with silver flexible tracks. Never started. All parts, decals and instructions have been inventoried 100% complete and are correct for this early issue. The box top has factory-new color and gloss, four solid corners and no repairs. The flaws are corner wear on the left as shown, a very light price tag pull on the left short side and a 3/4" x 3/4" factory tape pull on the long lower side. The original store neatly marked out the '129' price extension on both short side panels and wrote a very small '70' cents next to it.

Revell SMS Seeadler With 'S' Glue - German WWI Commerce Raider - (Sea Eagle), 1/232, H382-298

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc++

$220

Rare 1960 hardbox first issue and ever rarer in this condition. The 'Excellent++' condition box features great framable John Steel artwork. Inside, it even contains a factory-wrapped very colorful metal tube of 'S' glue as well as a history of the Seeadler, a message from Count Luckner, a map of the journey and locations & names of all the ships sunk by the raider. This is a kit of a fantastic subject, the famous WWI sailing commerce raider of Count Felix Von Luckner. It is a very well detailed model for that time and has a full hull, display stand, detailed deck houses and deck fittings, davits and ship's boats, guns, fife rails, preformed rat lines, rigging material, rigging instructions and much more. Molded in gray, brown & black plastic. Never started. It has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts and includes the flag sheet and instructions. The SMS Seeadler was a unique WWI raider in that it was not designed to elude the British blockade and break out to sea...it was designed to pass right through the blockade within full view of the British before attacking allied shipping around the world. No detail was overlooked in the Seeadler's preparation, right down to a Norwegian-speaking crew. The plan went perfectly - and the Seeadler passed inspection at the British Blockade. Her non-threatening appearance helped her in an active and colorful raiding career that nearly went around the world. I highly recommend reading any of several books that you can find about this ship. Von Luckner himself became quite a celebrity for his exciting exploits.

Flaws include very light wear, a light crease at the upper right and the original price tag from "Rogers Toy Stores" on the upper short side panel.

Revell North American X-15 - 'S' Issue, 1/65, H198-89

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$155

First issue from 1958. From the stunning artwork on this kit, it is clear to see why these models are considered the pinnacle of box art and why they are so collectible today. This is a finely molded and well detailed kit for that time and features removable canopy and detailed engine, pilot figure, landing gear and retractable landing skid, movable control surfaces & dive brakes and more. Includes Revell's famous round-based 'Globe' swivel stand, a separate, full size color and marking sheet with four views; there is even an excellent history of the aircraft. Never started. 100% inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. The box displays better than the rating, but that is because there is some minor litho chipping and moderate edge wear, especially on the left side corners.

$129

This is a 2006 reissue of the original 1961 kit. The model is 20 inches long, full hull and well detailed. Never started. In December 1962, in fog off San Diego, Oriana collided with CV-33 USS Kearsarge, causing considerable damage to both vessels. A claims court found Oriana's captain had been steaming too fast for conditions. Afterwards, the CV was good-naturedly nicknamed "The Mighty Kay-runch."
