1963 first issue of this well detailed, large 1/16 scale kit. Molded in black, chrome, red and with real rubber tires. Never started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the factory sealed bag; the parts that were never sealed have been inventoried complete. With instructions. Please note that the box may look better than the 'good' grade but it has a light stain on the right side of the box top and side. Aurora was renowned for turning a profit and for keeping expenses down. In researching new kit subjects, they came upon a forgotten jewel - the Hudson Miniatures line of 1/16 scale wooden kits. Hudson had discontinued this line due to lack of sales of wooden kits. But the Hudson models were second to none in quality, research and documentation. Aurora was quick to realize this and used the research and layout from these kits to create the subjects for this 'Old Timers' series. It is fortunate for us that they did, because in most cases this is the only injection molded kit of these rare and classic early automobiles.

The box is still sealed but the sea has tear and the box is only 'good.'

Rare original hardbox issue and in remarkable 100% complete and never started condition. Nicely molded and features detailed fuel injection small block Chevy engine, good engine compartment detail, removable hood, detailed interior, nicely molded underside detail, removable hardtop and numerous custom parts including louvers, seat belts, lowering blocks, aerials, spotlights, skirts, lake pipes with shields and decals. Molded in white, chrome, clear, red-tint clear and with rubber whitewall tires . The kit has not been started. Inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. Decals are in amazing 'near mint' condition and the instructions are 'excellent' with some yellowing as the only flaw. Even includes the original SMP flyer for the 3 in 1 Trailer Kit.

The Wellesley was a single engine bomber first flown in 1935. It is famous for a record setting flight in 1938 from Egypt to Australia. The craft was very advanced for its day, and many features found their way into the next famous Vickers aircraft, the Wellington Bomber. SALE!! Includes both kits, which include three models all together. NOTE: there was a fourth kit, the Southern Belle, but is missing. All three other kits are are never started and inventoried complete including instructions. These are hardbox issues from the late 1950s. These are very small scale ships, about 3 inches long each. The ITC (Ideal Toy Company) Precision Miniatures was a lower priced line to complement the much larger ITC model issues. The first issue came in hardboxes (like this one) and ITC planned 7 series with a projected 6 models in each series. The series were Aircraft Through the Years, Historical Ships, Locomotives Through The Years, Antique Cars, Ships For Work and Fun, Landmarks in Transportation and Sports Cars. There were 6 aircraft in the 'Aircraft' series- Spirit of St. Louis, Wright Flyer, S-55, Spad 13, P-86 and P-51 Mustang. All were very close to 1/100 scale.
