Hard-to-find late 1950s issue with artwork by Ray Gaedke. Very nicely molded kit for that time with fine raised panel lines, full landing gear and doors, separately molded machine guns barrels, pilot bust, underwing rocket tubes and a display stand. Molded in gloss silver and clear. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions (on the back of the box). Please note that the box is only graded 'fair' and has a lot of heavy wear and tears. Builder quality only; not collectible.

This 21 inch long model is full (1/1) scale and well molded & detailed for that time. It dates from the late 1960s. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions. In addition to cars, ships, planes and figures, Pyro added an excellent line of well-known and not-so-well-known life-sized (1/1) scale pistol and rifle models to their line. In each case Pyro gained access to the actual weapon during the kit design, insuring a very accurate model. This one is a 21 inch long copy of the Miquelet used in Spanish Morocco between 1610 and 1875. The lock was made in Spain, while the barrel and the ornamented stock were made by the North African and Arabian craftsmen.

1998 reissue of the original 1967 kit. The Yorktown was one of three prewar sister carriers along with Enterprise (CV-6) and Hornet (CV-8). The Yorktown saw extensive action in the Coral Sea and Midway and was lost after an epic struggle to save the ship. This is a very good model that features all of the correct changes unique to the Yorktown, 20 SBDs, 20" long full hull with rudder and propeller detail, partial internal hanger deck aft and forward, detailed island structure, movable cranes, optional position elevators and more. The box art shows the wartime finish, but the kit contains decals for this or the prewar high-vis finish. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals, color flagsheet and instructions.

The I-19 is famous for firing history's most successful torpedo spread off. On September 14, 1942 off Guadalcanal, the I-19 was patrolling of the Solomons when she fired a 6 torpedo spread. Three hit and sank the US Carrier CV-7 WASP, and the remaining three exploded against the BB North Carolina and the destroyer O'Brien. The destroyer sank and the North Carolina had to be repaired at Pearl and did not enter service again until November 16, 1942. The I-19's Glen seaplane also flew night reconnaissance on February 23, 1942 over Pearl Harbor for the planned second attack by Emily flying boats on that base. 1969 issue in the 'Big A' hardbox. This large scale kit is almost 16 inches long when assembled and is an excellent model from Aurora's best efforts of the late 1960s/early 1970s. Aurora knew that most of their kits were outclassed, so in the mid and late 1960s they cut a new molds with much better detail - the I-19 was one of those. Includes display stand, decals, periscope and cranes, detailed Glen Seaplane, conning tower, deck guns and more. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.
