In each case Pyro gained access to the actual weapon during the kit design, insuring a very accurate model. This is a full size model features minute gunsmith detailing, movable trigger, hammer and ramrod and is molded in a bluish/gunmetal colored plastic. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions. The Civil War Navy 36 was second only in popularity to the Western 44 1860 Army model. The 36 was known for its sturdy construction and reliability. It was a cap and ball type revolver and proved very popular among the early Western settlers and cowboys.

Monogram Curtiss P-36A - Mini Masterpieces Issue, 1/72, 5014

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Exc

Sold

Still factory sealed. Dated 1989. Another older but excellent kit from original 1967 molds. The Hawk P-36A has the dubious distinction of fighting on both sides and for more countries than any other plane in history during the opening years of WWII. This Hawk, one in a long progression of famous fighter aircraft, was the winner of a 1935 competition. The USAA Corps received the first aircraft in April of 1938 and the French ordered 100 aircraft in May of the same year. French Hawks shot down just over 30 German planes during the battle for France. The Germans captured the aircraft and sold them to Finland. Others were captured when the Germans overran Norway. In all over 800 Hawks were produced and served in China, Netherlands East Indies, Portugal, Great Britain, Thailand, Argentina and Peru. Although an excellent fighter in 1935, the Hawk was outclassed by the time the war started but when flown properly still gave a good account of itself.

Sterling British SE-5 Scout - 40 inch Wingspan Scale RC Airplane, FS22

Wood Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good-

Sold

Very large full-scale kit. Even the rib spacing in the wings and tail is correct, as is the stringer spacing of the fuselage. The only exception to scale is the modern airfoil cross section. Designed for R/C or control line with a .19 to .29 gas engine and measures 30.5 inches long with a 40 3/8 inch wingspan. Highly detailed. Features all die-cut sheet wood parts of very high quality balsa, numerous plastic details and metal radiator parts, wood and metal stock as needed, dowels, blocks and cut to shape wood, a great deal of hardware, three huge full color decal sheets and superb full size plans with instructions on them. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Sterling was a famous manufacturer dating back to the 1930/40s flying model craze. Although they continued to produce kits for decades after the flying model slump following World War II, they eventually fell victim to the general lack of interest in modeling that occurred in the early 1980s. I personally considered Sterlings to be 'deluxe' kits.

Gabriel 1930 Packard Dietrich Convertible Victoria - (ex Hubley), 1/22, 4863

Metal Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

Sold

In the 1930s Packard was the style leader in America and a beautiful, fast status symbol. Packards were not the most expensive, but were the most desired cars. The 1930s Packards are seen as the high point of the brand. This model has 140 parts and is from the original quality Hubley molds. Builds to a very realistic model since the largest parts that were metal on the car are also so on the model. Well detailed and includes metal body parts, chassis, hood, engine and other detail parts with injection molded details, clear parts and a large tree of chrome plated parts. Features full rolling chassis construction just like the real car, very good suspension, steering and exhaust detail, complete engine with flexible radiator hoses, removable hood, working worm-gear steering, full interior detail and a clear, thin windshield. Never started. All the parts that were factory sealed are still sealed; the parts that were never sealed (the large metal ones) have been inventoried complete. With instructions and decals.
