Still factory sealed. This makes an ideal 'Classic Builder" as it is a reissue of the hard-to-find large Wasp (Essex class) aircraft carrier model from the 1950s. I cannot confirm all the contents, but the original issue and 1960s reissues had 32 aircraft (straight wing and folded wing), inner full-length hanger deck, full hull with prop and rudder detail, three optional position elevators, detailed island and extensive AA weapons - dual 5 inch turrets, 40mm quad mounts and single 20mm mounts. The side photos of the actual model show all these features except the hanger deck.

Megow Rearwin Speedster - 30 Inch Wingspan Flying Aircraft, 1/13, J9

Wood Model Kit,   Box Condition: Fair

Sold

Rare wartime issue from about 1943 and an ideal builder. Large scale (1/12.8) flying model has stick and tissue construction. Features quality balsa printwood, spars and stringers, fully formed wheels, metal stock as required, pre-carved prop, rubber motor, sealed envelope of small parts, two colors of tissue and very nice full size plans. I have done an inventory and I would say the kit is complete with all parts. Aurora Focke-Wulf Fw-190 Famous Fighters of All Nations, 1/48, 30A-69

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: NM

Sold

Rare kit and even rarer in investment-grade 'Near Mint' box condition like this example. The box is exceptional with four solid corners, no stains, no fading, no price tags or tape (except one tape mark from the thin factory sealing tape), no tears and no litho damage. The only flaws very slight surface and corner wear. Likely the 2nd issue of this kit. The first issue had the landing gear, etc but had swastikas on the tail and decals. This version has the iron crosses. Dates from the mid 1950s (probably 1954/55) with small 'Aurora Line' rectangular logo and 'Famous Fighters of All Nations'. Molded in correct gloss black and clear with rectangular clear two-piece stand. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. Instructions are 'excellent++' with yellowing as the only flaw. Decals are 'good++' with typical yellowing and a slight curl (not rolled up, but curled into a 1/2 circle.

Inventoried 100% complete with all parts in the correct high-gloss early issue light grey. Correct 1st issue large rectangular stand and decal sheet.
