Large vacuform kit of this famous Pan Am Clipper. The assembled wingspan is 19.5 inches. The model features white vacuform main parts, four cast metal engines and propellers, injection molded beaching gear parts, seats & yokes and a large set of full-size plans including many detail drawings, seven photos and building instructions on the back. The model has never been started and is inventoried 100% complete. Vacuform kits are not recommended for modelers who are not highly experienced with this type of kit. Smaller parts will need to be scratch built or taken from your spares box. Decals are not furnished but the plans and the color Youtube video of the aircraft show what markings are required.

Excellent kit that is most likely from WWII (1940s). Full hull model measures 11.5 inches long when assembled. StromBecker was famous for this line of highly prefabricated precarved hardwood kits. At a time when most scale model boxes included nothing other than a few blocks of balsa wood and a set of plans, Strombecker was producing these beautiful kits of fully carved, western pine hardword. The carving is done to the final shape for all parts. When complete it makes an impressive desk top display. Never started. Inventoried and NOTE: the hardwood island is missing, but I have included a correct size balsa block for it. It can be easily made since the instructions show a full size multi-view drawing. Includes all other parts, CASCO glue envelope (still sealed) and plans with instructions. The box displays better than 'fair-' but it graded a such because all of the short end panels are missing.
