Lindberg is a company with a fascinating history The original 'Lindberg Line' stretches back to the 1930s when Paul Lindberg drew plans for famous modeling magazines and marketed his balsa wood 'stick and tissue' by urging dealers to carry the '...Complete Lindberg Line'. After the war, Lindberg and Olsen had a strong hand in early United States injection molded kit development. Please see the article located on this website about early USA plastic kit manufacturers.

Revell Clipper Stag Hound - 'The Largest Merchant Ship of Her Day', 1/216, H325-300

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc++

The Stag Hound was designed by the famous Donald McKay and was launched on December 7, 1850. She is famous for her great speed and turned a nice profit for her owners. The most notable event was when the Stag Hound was asked to take a copy of President Lincoln's inaugural address to London. During this run, she raced the steamer 'America' and won easily. Shortly after this she was lost off Brazil to a spontaneous combustion of her coal cargo. The crew successfully abandoned ship. The captain was the last to leave. He lowered the American Flag, wrapped it around himself and jumped overboard.

Revell Lockheed F-94C Starfire Interceptor - Pre 'S' Issue, 1/56, H210-79

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

Sold

1954 Pre-S issue. The box is solid and has excellent color and gloss but has significant wear has shown. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Decals and instructions are in 'excellent' condition. This kit has a fascinating history The first issue was in the simple and thin one-piece box and Revell quickly converted to this two-piece box as it was much more durable and a full-color lithographed 'slick' could be used. For the second issue, Revell added rivet and raised panel line detail as well as landing gear, a two piece box and H210-79 kit number. The famous 'Globe' clear stand was added, but in this issue it had the rare one piece stand arm and the instructions reflected that. Revell quickly realized that the one-piece arm was not strong enough, and quickly modified it to the familiar three piece arm for the 3rd (this) issue. The kit went on to be reissued several more times with different box art and even Revell of Germany and England had European issues as well.
