She was powered with a 3000 hp supercharged Rolls Royce engine and won the Championship in 1977. Her 'rooster tail' alone was 7 tons of airborne water! Never started. In the 1931 Cleveland National Air Races, Doolittle looked unbeatable in the Super Solution, but engine trouble forced him out and the Granville Brothers Gee Bee Z was the winner.
