The final development of Rene Leduc's 1950s experiments with RamJet Power. The first experimental were the un-powered 010; these were the first aircraft to fly on ramjet power alone. Several accidentally later, the program still showed promise so larger aircraft were built: the 021 and 022. The 021s completed their tests, and the unique 022 then flew 141 times. It has a centrally mounted turbo jet so it could take off on it's own power; 021 and 010 were carried aloft by a mother ship (Se-161). The turbojet in the 022 would accelerate it to ramjet operation speed. Fuel was stored in the round fuselage, but the ramjet consumed fuel so quickly that you had 10 minutes at the most at full power. The program was cancelled in 1958 and Rene Leduc did not build further aircraft. Still factory sealed.

Very rare factory sealed kit for the advanced Aurora collector. The model came from the first owner of the kit who bought it new. In those days, Aurora sealed kits with two very thin strips of tape on the box top sides extending to the bottom of the box. This box still has those two tape seals intact. The box condition is superb with like new color and gloss and no price tags. Second issue of this classic kit. Although dated 1956, this kit is from 1957/58 and carries the then-new oval sunburst with 'Famous Fighters' in the boarder. In keeping with a quick and inexpensive change over, the box utilizes the 1956 artwork, but yellows out the 'Northern Lights' rectangle and adds the new oval.

Investment-grade condition box. Late 1950s hardbox issue with Ray Gaedke box artwork. Molded in correct gloss medium green and clear, with the futuristic Lindberg 'V' shaped clear stand. For it's time, this was an excellent kit with fine panel and rivet detail. Features crew of two and seats, separately molded rudder and flap/ailerons, four small wing load bombs and a center bomb with 'swing arm' so that it would clear the prop in a dive. This kit has never been started. It is either still in the internally sealed factory bag or has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Thanks to Dusty Rhodes for this information: The markings with this model, A5+HL, are from a -B2 (Trop.) captured intact in North Africa, 1941 and shipped to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. It is still there today (2020). This may very well be the aircraft that Lindberg Skokie-based designers examined as a basis for this model.

Great kit for the advanced Revell collectors. Rare 1960s Revell of Japan issue of the 'New Extra Large Scale Jet That Works!'. Has unique box art. Actually, this is one of two known Revell Japan box art variations for this kit. The model is from the original 'S' kit molds. Unique large scale kit includes many operational features. Landing gear and flaps retract and extend when canopy is opened and closed. Removable detailed engine and movable control surfaces. Weapons bay opens to show AIM-4 Falcon missiles. Has the correct Japan issue instructions and decals. Never started. 100% inventoried complete with all parts/decals and instructions present. NOTE: the kit is molded in very light blue. The nose wheel and one gear door are molded in silver. They are 100% correct for this model but are from another (non-Japan) issue of the model.

Stands over 20 inches high when assembled. Two display bases are included for in flight and for lunar landing. Also includes metal gold foil for detailing the Lunar Lander. There is no box. This is a bagged kit. The box is shown for reference only. NOTE: this is a builder kit, not a collector kit. Please read carefully - The kit has assembly. The fuselage, wing halves, nacelles and wheels have been assembled. Quality of assembly is excellent. There are no gaps and little if any glue at all showing. There is no other assembly. The parts are complete for the airplane but there is no 'tail stand' for the model. The instructions are photocopies and there are no decals.
