Monogram clearly made some of the finest 1/24 kit for fit, finish and detail. This one is no exception. This model is the original "Four Star" issue from 1961 in a near mint hardbox. It can be built as a stock, dragster, street or the "Jalopy" as shown on the side of the box. The kit has 152 precision parts molded in chrome, black, tan, clear and with real rubber wheels. Has a large sheet of decals. Kit features rolling chassis build up like the real car, full underside and interior detail, wire wheels, Ford engine, Chevy V8 engine with carbs or blower, two sets of custom exhaust, roll bars, optional top and much more. Very large scale "George" in the desirable Japan Issue. Box and kit are in investment grade condition. It is rumored that these molds were lost when the freighter carrying them sank in the Sea of Japan. Other molds lost on that ship were the 1/32 Oscar, Tony and Raiden (Jack). The box is near mint with very light edge wear at the top only; it is so light that it is not visible in the photo. Inside the model is still sealed in all factory bags. It is molded in the correct dark green, light blue and clear. The large instructions has a beautiful painting of the Shiden on the front. The kit features highly detailed cockpit and engine, removable cowling and optional position canopy, working flaps and drop tank/bomb load. Instructions and decals are as new.

Rare 1954 hardbox issue with 89 cent price extension. This is the early small, thin box format measuring 13.25 x 4.1 x 1 inches. Color and gloss are 'excellent,' all four corners are solid and original, there is no tape or price tags, no marks from tape or tags, no fading and no torn litho. Flaws include very light shelf wear, some corner wear and small scuffs. Inside, the kit is as it left the factory. All parts are molded in gloss medium gray and the small parts and decals are still in the factory sealed small bag. The instructions are excellent.

The Harrow was the bomber development of the HP 51 Troop Transport in the mid 1930s RAF bomber expansion. MkI entered service in 1937 with 214 Squadron. In 1939, many Harrows were converted to transports and some carried out mine-laying duties. Never started and complete.

The Hendon was a RAF night bomber created in response to 1927 Air Ministry specs to replace the Virginia. The Hendon was a large twin engine monoplane of metal construction with fabric covering, making it the first all metal structure monoplane in the RAF. Fairey was no stranger to this type of aircraft, having already made several large monoplanes for record attempts. But the monoplane design was just too new for the minds in the Air Ministry and they opted for twin engine Heyford biplanes instead. 14 Hendons were built for the 38 Squadron. Never started. Factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions.
