Rare early Monogram kit from the early 1950s. Fantastically well detailed and presented multi-media kit with 34 injection molded clear, red, black and gray acetate and 57 die cut or shaped balsa parts including the famous Monofoil pre-formed wing. This example has never been started and is inventoried 100% complete with all parts, glue, dope, decals, sand paper, plans and instruction book. Still has internal packing as shown. Printed balsa parts were falling from the sheet, so I taped them together on the original sheet with clear tape. NOTE: the box looks VG but is graded only fair due to the fact that it is missing the bottom long side. Decals have damage as shown. This is the first large-scale non-flying scale Speedee-Bilt model, the B-25 Mitchell. Before there were plastic models, there were wooden aircraft kits. These usually came in two types - solid and stick and tissue. The solid models were static and usually contained a few blocks of balsa and sometimes a detail part or two. These "Make Wood Look Like Plane" models required a very high level of skill in carving and finishing. The stick and tissue variety were slightly easier to build and provided the ultimate thrill - they could fly when complete with rubber power (and later with free-flight gas and eventually RC). They still required a great deal of skill, so manufacturers sought ways to make model building more accessible to everyone. One idea was pre-carving and/or prefabrication. This raised prices, naturally. Many manufacturers launched lines of 'easy' to build flying models but only Monogram succeeded in making an entire line at an affordable price that would actual fly. Monogram, however, wanted to make true scale models that could still be assembled easily. So they created the four large and highly detailed non-flying scale Speedee-Bilt bombers - the B-25, B-26, B-24 and B-17. The kits were a tremendous success and sold well in the early to mid 1950s.

Contains two tank kits and a large diorama base with street and building ruins. Very nicely molded kit from the Matchbox 1/76 scale series. It is a little known fact that these early French tanks were superior on the battlefield to the early German Tanks; the French actually won the first modern tank battles of WWII in the low countries. Decals for Char B.1 Belgium 14th-16th May 1940 and Renault FT17 with 37mm cannon or Char B.1 France December 1939/40 and Renault FT17 with 8mm Hotchkiss MG. NOTE: kit has minor assembly. The Renault hull, turret halves and treads have been assembled. Quality of assembly is excellent. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Very rare. This is the original issue USS Helena from 1960. It has the beautiful John Steel painting for framing. The kit contains decals to build any of the ships listed in the title. This kit is the correct glossy gray plastic and correct instructions and decals for the first issue. NOTE: two parts have been glued - #18 topmast and #17 lower mast. Quality of work is excellent. No other assembly. The kit is inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. NOTE: the box would have graded VG+++, but the right hand small side panel has significant litho loss and damage. The box displays well but please be aware of this small side panel damage.

Builds either version and has decals for USAAF or RAF. Horsas were perhaps the most advanced gliders built during WWII. They had full instrumentation, power operated flaps and brakes, a powered device for jettisoning the landing gear upon touchdown. The Horsa MkI carrier troops while the MkII carried vehicles which loaded through the swing nose and unloaded from an explosively-released rear fuselage after landing. Gliders carried in 20% of the reinforcements and supplies for D-Day, and most were Horsas. They also saw action against the German Heavy Water (Atomic Bomb) plants in Norway and targets in Sicily, Arnhem and the Rhine. Never started. Early 1960s kit in exceptional condition. The box is almost as new with great color and gloss. All four sides are as clean as the top. The model inside has many unique features. First, it can be built as one three versions - Stock, Full Custom or Service Tow Truck. The kit has two engines, one stock and one chrome custom with three deuces, full built up rolling chassis like the real car, complete with suspension and exhaust detail, optional dropped axle, custom chrome wheels, rubber tires, custom or stock firewall, full interior detail, engine stand for display, opened or closed hood, custom box tarp, exhaust stacks, aerial, spotlights and grill and 1/25 scale Ford Pickup car show trophy. The service truck has a wrecker tow assembly with lights, booster battery, gas cans, spotlight, air horns, mud flaps, a full set of chrome hand tools, flares, cement blocks, tire rack, fire extinguisher and more. Includes a large, colorful decal sheet for all three cars. Molded in gloss black, chrome, clear and with rubber tire. The kit has never been started. Wartime (about 1942-43) release from the famous Ideal Aeroplane & Supply Company, which was founded in 1911. Wooden precarved hull with wooden parts and metal fittings. With highly detailed plans. I have seen this kit built, and it is beautiful and highly detailed. Measures 20-1/2 inches when completed. Never started. 100% complete. The insides are absolutely mint and untouched; I was the first person to remove the parts for an inventory and repacked it exactly as it came. Box has ink run from red box color; no damage at all to kit inside.

In 1969 the first of four "Mountbatten" Class (SR.N4) Hovercraft entered commercial service on the channel crossing. The crossing could be made in 35 minutes at a high level of comfort. This is a large and very highly detailed model. It features clear roof to show the interior, complete interior with all seats/tables/ cabins and car ferry area, optional position loading rams for thru-ship drive-on-drive off loading/unloading, 1/144 scale automobiles, complete bridge with control panel, seats, etc and much more.
