Lindberg is a company with a fascinating history The original 'Lindberg Line' stretches back to the 1930s when Paul Lindberg drew plans for famous modeling magazines and marketed his balsa wood 'stick and tissue' by urging dealers to carry the '...Complete Lindberg Line'. Dated 1991 and from the original molds. This is still the only accurate large-scale model of the Widowmaker. Features excellent interior detail, rotating turrets with elevating guns, full wheel well detail, opened or closed bomb bay doors with bomb load, rotating props and rear boarding ladder. The kit has never been started. Inventoried and NOTE: missing (3) figures and missing (3) fuselage side guns (for the nose). Otherwise includes all other parts. With decals and instructions. The box is graded as 'fair' because there is heavy tape damage along the lower four sides.

Most likely from the 1980s. Measures 23.75 inches long and part of the older Hasegawa 1/450 scale series that was designed for operation in water. Includes all hardware for motorized operation. Can be easily converted to remote control. Features one piece hull, movable gun turrets, full secondary and AA armament, floatplane and more. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes instructions. Please note that that Hasegawa did not include the motor with this issue. The motor is a common RE-26 (Re-260) and readily available on-line.

Rare. Brand new, never removed from the box and complete. High quality die-cast model that is completely factory built and painted. Please note the canopy is present, but Franklin Mint shipped them off the model. You have to snap it on to install it. When I saw this kit had never been removed from the packaging, I did not open it. If any of the paperwork is important to you, let me know before you purchase and I will check for you. A nice kit from the early to mid 1970s. Large scale issue for rubber or gas free flight, or easily converted to RC using today's tiny and light servos and receivers. Box art is by Locher, who did a great deal of the Monogram box artwork also. Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction with all die cut parts, 'Tube-O-Matic' fuselage construction and 'Rugged Super X Simplified Non-Warping Wing' construction, colorful insignia, detailed full size plans, building instructions, wheels, hardware, tissue and propeller. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The parts that were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including insignia and plans. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.
