Email for availability.

1/700 scale waterline kit. Very finely molded and detailed. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions. There are no decals; sometimes these kits did not come with decals and I am not sure if this one did or not. The Prince of Wales saw very active service in WWII from fighting the Bismarck with HMS Hood to Far East service with the HMS Repulse off the Malay peninsula. It was in this battle that both ships were sunk by Japanese airborne torpedo attack.

Berkeley Stinson SR-9C Reliant - For R/C or Free Flight, 1/12, 4-19

Wood Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

The model has not been started. The parts have been inventoried complete including decals and instructions. Berkeley is a very famous manufacturer of flying model kits from the Golden Age of flying aviation, about 1932-1954. Founded in 1933 by William Effinger, the company was quite progressive in producing quality kits - it was likely the Berkeley 'Buccaneer' was the first gas powered model in kit form. In the later 1930s, Effinger acquired the services of a very talented Henry Struck. Struck went on to design numerous award-winning kits under the Berkeley name. Berkeley weathered the post WWII recession and emerged as a major kit producer in the late 1940 and 1950s. These were great years for Berkeley and they produced some incredible and large kits. The company went bankrupt in about 1960 however. Fox engines (Duke Fox) bought the company and released the kits alongside his own FOX models and engines. This arrangement did not last, and in the early 1960s the Berkeley name disappeared from hobby shop shelves.

Hawk Supermarine Swift, 1/72, 607

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good++

$24

Very cleanly molded kit that builds very nicely. The model has excellent fit and recessed and raised panel lines. Can be assembled with or without landing gear. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The Swift was a very early jet fighter to replace the Supermarine Attacker. A very capable aircraft, the Swift suffered numerous accidents early on. As a result, less than 200 were ever built and it did not see combat. It did hold a world speed record for a short time, only to have a Douglas Skyray take the record a few hours later. The problems were ironed out, but by then the Hawker Hunter was proving very capable and there was no need for the Swift and it's RAF service life was short. The most successful version was the PR variant.

The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.

TMY WACO Biplane 29.5 Inch Gas Model Airplane

Wood Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

$275

Very rare. This is an early Japanese export kit from TMY in Tokyo, probably dating right around 1960. It was clearly intended for control line operation. The kit has a very high degree of prefabrication for that time, featuring fully cut and ready to assemble plywood fuselage bulkheads, fully cut balsa wing rigs, cut out (but final sanding required) wheels pants, tail planes and all other wood parts, strip wood, formed wire main gear strut, balloon-type main wheels and solid tail wheel, an extensive (still sealed) hardware packet, wood for sheeting, silk covering material (still sealed) and full size plans. The kit has never been started. The internal condition is exceptional; many parts are still attached to the orange factory display board with string; even more are still wrapped with the factory green tape. The kit has been inventoried complete with all parts and plans. It must be shipped insured.
