Combat Models U-9 German WWI Submarine (U-Boat), 1/72

Vacuform Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

$69

Large-scale model of Kommandant Otto Weddigen's famous submarine. U-9 and crew sank three British Armored Cruisers in one short engagement, forever establishing the submarine as a serious threat. This is a large-scale vacuform kit that is still in the original plain cardboard Combat Models shipping box with the original address tag. If you wish, this box can be discarded and the model repacked, which will save you slightly on shipping. The kit consists of white vacuform plastic parts, plans and very good instruction on the back of the plans. Please note that Vacuform kits are only recommended for modelers who are experienced with this type of model. Special skills and scratch building experience are required for assembly. If you are curious, I highly recommend that you read the article 'How To Build Vacuform Model Kits' which is located on this website.

WK Models Heinkel He-170A Radial Engine, 1/72, 7202

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

$24

Unusual radial engine variant. The He-170 was built in 1937 as an export version of the He-70F for long-range reconnaissance. It had a license-built Gnome-Rhone 14K Mistral Major engine in a traditional NACA cowling which gave it a very different appearance from the He-70. The prototype He 170 made its maiden flight in 1937. It was followed by eighteen production aircraft, which were delivered to Hungary in 1937-38, and entered service with I Independent Long-Range Reconnaissance Group in Carpatho-Ruthenia in March 1939. In the summer of 1941 Hungary agreed to assist Germany in the invasion of the USSR. The He170 was blooded at this point but various vulnerabilities caused it to be quickly withdrawn from service. The kit has markings for D-OHEW. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. NOTE: the instructions are from the "F" version but the tree of conversion parts is separate and simply use those instead of the other parts as well as cutting the nose off and using the supplied NACA cowling.

Molded in gloss silver and clear. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.

Aurora 12 O'Clock High Messerschmitt Me-109 - (Bf-109), 1/48, 343-79

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

$169

Very Rare limited issue hardbox dated 1965. Issued as a promotion with the famous TV show "12 O'Clock High," which centered on the exploits of USAAF B-17s flying over Hitler's Germany. Molded in bright gloss burgundy and clear, with the clear triangle-based stand. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Please note that the decals are flat and have almost no age yellowing; the only flaw to them is the typical age micro-cracking. Instructions are 'excellent' and have very light wear and the typical age yellowing. Other kits in this rare series include the B-17 Bomber Formation (3 kits with a special 'bombing' stand and battle-damaged decals), P-38 Lighting, ME-109 (Bf-109), P-51, B-26, B-25 and Fw-190.
