Has markings for the very colorful box art aircraft. Never started. Inventoried with all parts, decals and instructions present. NOTE: one gear strut is broke, but all parts are present and the break is clean. Decals are intact but grade 'good'. The SVA-5 was a highly successful Italian WWI design that saw service up to 1929. The aircraft was very fast for its time and the Italians wisely used it for strategic recon and bombing. Ihe SVA-5 flew legendary missions over 500 miles in length, returning with valuable photos. After the war, the aircraft was flown by Argentina, Brazil, France, Lithuania, Latvia, Holland, Peru, Poland, the Soviet Union, Spain and the United States. One even flew from Rome to Tokyo.

Rare kit for the advanced collector. Tim Molded Products Co. Inc of Burlington, Wisconsin issued a kit line in the early 1950s, making it one of the earlier injection molded model makers in the USA. The kits were released in bagged and boxed versions. Four kits have been confirmed - this F6F, an F4U-5 Corsair, F-80 Shooting Star and F7U-1 Cutlass. Lindberg acquired the molds to these kits in the early 1960s. This is the boxed Hellcat and is dated 1957. The kit is very finely molded for the time and has good detail. Molded in bright gloss blue and clear with full decals. Includes 6 under-wing missiles, full landing gear, clear canopy and rotating propeller. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.

Dated 1976. At this late date in Aurora history, they were only releasing the best molds and usually after some scale modifications. This kit is from the improved molds and is much better than the original. Contains decals for two Western Air Express aircraft. The kit has never been started. Aurora Piper Aztec C, 1/72, 282-70

1968 issue and still the only injection molded Aztec kit. After Aurora purchased the Comet molds, they reissued the Comet civil light aircraft line. It appears that Aurora may have been inspired by the Comet kits or sales of the reissues, and they produced several more new molds to add to the line. This Aztec is one of those kits. Since the kit was designed new, it has significantly more detail than the older Comet kits. Features all recessed panel lines, full interior with a sofa, four seats and instrument panel, optional position landing gear and rotating propellers. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. NOTE: box is complete and solid but graded only 'fair' because of the extensive light background stains as shown. The parts, instructions and decals are 'excellent'.

Original Pre 'S' release. Revell's first aircraft carrier model from 1954. Very good kit of a straight-deck Midway class ship in the near original configuration. Features heavy AA battery and an airwing of F4U Corsairs, F9F Cougars, AD-6 Skyraiders and a helicopter that may be a HUP. Has correct hardbox in excellent condition. Color and gloss and as new and all four corners are solid; general wear and light creasing are the main flaws. Inside, the kit is molded in the correct glossy light gray plastic. Never started. The small parts are still in the factory sealed bag and the parts that were never bagged have been inventoried complete including decals and instructions.

Has parts and markings for all three version including the night fighter ace John Cunningham. This kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Frog is considered the father of injection molded model kits. The Lines Brothers opened Frog in 1932, capitalizing on the fever caused by Lindberg's solo transatlantic flight. Almost overnight the western populations became 'Air-Minded', and anything aviation was in high demand. Frog created a quality line of stick and tissue rubber powered aircraft and gliders as well as innovative ready-to-fly rubber powered aircraft that required no assembly. The box even contained a built-in rubber motor winder and fuselage holder. Model airplane flight competitions were popular in Great Britain, and one category was 'Rise Off the Ground', or ROG. By changing this to 'Flies Right Off the Ground', the FROG name was born. In 1936 Frog created a line of injection molded plastic models, the first such kit line in the world (Hawk sold a line of injection molded aircraft models in 1934 but they were factory assembled and painted). Named 'Penguin' after the bird that does not fly, the kits were innovative beyond the means of production. At a time when models were simply built by wingspan, the Penguin line was a constant 1/72 scale. Furthermore, a large 1/72 Short S.30 Empire class flying boat contained a full interior and lights! A line of accessories such as AA guns, tractors, hanger, ambulance, sound locator, searchlights and lighting kits were quickly added to the line. WWII caused a pause in production. After the war the box color changed from silver to green, and Penguin kits were also marketed in the USA. Production ended in 1950. Frog quickly expanded and released the Red, Orange, Black, Green, Gold Token, Spin and Comet series as well as Trail Blazers and several others. It is noteworthy that while most manufacturers in the 1940s/50 were making toy-like models, Frog attempted to make very realistic models. For example, 'detailing' kits with excessively large rivets was once very popular. Frog ignored this trend and continued to mold aircraft with fine panel lines and no rivets. As a result, Frog kits can be built into very realistic replicas. Production ended in the late 1970s, but Frog molds are still in use around the world.
