Revell G.I. Battle Action - Combat Team Figure Set - 'S' Kit Issue, 1/40, H526-98

Rare. First issue from 1956 in the 'S' box. The box has like-new color and gloss, four solid corners and no tape, price tags or tape/tag marks (except the small pieces of factory tape used to seal the kit on the side). The only flaw is very light corner wear and a light crease. Includes the following figures - general, radioman, 2 bazooka men, 2 mortar men with mortar, 2 machine gunners with tripod and machine gun, soldier with mine detector, soldier with flame thrower and 9 other infantrymen. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including instructions. Please note that Revell did not provide decals with this kit.

Laconia kits were popular for their high level of detail in the late 1940s/early 1950s. This kit is very well detailed and builds and accurate prototype. Features heavy bristol board sides that are pre-cut and scribed and factory painted yellow, red, green, blue, black, gold and white for Goetz Country Club, pre-cut and milled hardwood roof, floor and other wooden parts as needed, a bag of metal details, other metal stock as needed and full plans and instructions. The decorated embossed sides and ends in mint condition as they are still sealed in the factory bag. Kit has not been started and is complete with all parts, instructions and fittings. These make great stand alone models or high-quality rolling stock for your line.

Second Aurora release (39 cent price extension) from ex-Comet molds. Dated 1963 but likely from the mid 1960s. Nicely molded kit with all recessed details, clear cabin and cockpit windows and display stand. This kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. The Aero Commander was a state-of-the-art twin engine light transport from the early 1960s. It was built by Aero Design and Engineering Co. of Bethany, Oklahoma. It was the first twin engine aircraft to be used by the President of the United States and served in this capacity in the early 1960s. This high performance 5 to 7 place was popular with business travelers and had a range of 1,050 miles and a ceiling of 22,000 feet. The Aero Commander led to the Jet Commander, which became the IAI 1121 through 1124 Westwind business jets. Aero Commanders can still be seen at some airports in excellent condition, but many are neglected as newer aircraft are in favor.

Still factory sealed. 1999 reissue of the 1964 Revell kit with a Monogram box. Very nicely detailed 1/48 scale kit that contains both models and display stands as well as collector's patches. This kit is a fine example of 'mold swapping'. Originally Revell cut the molds and issued this kit in the 1960s. Then Revell and Monogram merged, and the kit was reissued under the Monogram name.

RC was never imagined for such small models during the 1970s but this kit could be easily made radio control with today's technology. Molded in white and a beautiful gloss mahogany. Never started. Small scale kit. Well detailed for it's size and from Sanwa molds. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. UPC stood for Universal Powermaster Corporation which was based out of New York City, NY. UPC did not cut their own molds, but bought kits already molded from other manufacturers and re-boxed the kits in the USA. Scott Eidson, the famous artist best known for his artwork with Revell, also did UPC box art in the 1960s. All UPC production ended in the 1970s.

Life-Like Monitor and Merrimac - ex-Pyro Molds, 09257

From ex-Pyro molds. The Monitor is 10 inches long and the Merrimac is 11 inches long when built. Never started. NOTE: the Merrimac is still in the factory sealed bag but the Monitor is not. The Monitor is missing one stack half and the prop shaft. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts and instructions. These are not the Lindberg kits but are from the original Pyro molds and have superior detail to the Lindberg issues. The two American Civil war ships that spelled the end of the wooden ship age. In March of 1862, the Merrimac put to sea to raise the Union Blockade off the St. James. There she sank the Cumberland and Congress. The Monitor, the Union's only ironclad and the first turret ship, was rushed to the scene. The epic battle between the two iron-clad ships ended in a draw, with the Merrimac suffering a little more damage than the Monitor. The Merrimac was blown up to avoid capture; the Monitor sank in a gale in 1862.
