Big scale kit with a 31 3/8 inch wingspan. Designed for RC, CO2, free flight, control line or detailed scale display. Features die cut quality balsa sheet parts and factory cut stringers and spars, die-cut plywood parts, fully formed wire landing gear struts, completely finished main and tail wheels & thrust button, hardware, control line parts, vacuform cowl/engine front, wheel pants and more, plastic prop, rubber motor, clear window material, covering tissue, large color decal sheet, superb plans and more. Never started. The small parts are still in the factory sealed 'Sterling' clear bag. The parts that were never factory sealed have been inventoried complete and includes all paperwork. Sterling was a famous manufacturer dating back to the 1930/40s flying model craze. Although they continued to produce kits for decades after the flying model slump following World War II, they eventually fell victim to the general lack of interest in modeling that occurred in the early 1980s. I always considered Sterling kits to be deluxe kits as they featured color decals, high-grade die cut balsa, vacuform plastic detail parts, plastic wheels (if required), finished wire landing gear, rubber motor and plastic prop, full size plans with instruction details and full instructions for conversion to RC or control line and more.

Very rare "Northern Lights' logo first issue from 1956. Even rarer in amazing, investment-grade 'Near Mint+' condition. The box has factory-new gloss and color, four solid corners, no stains, creases, tears or fading. It has no price tags (or marks from any) and incredibly it even missed the factory tape machine - there is no tape and no marks or stains from tape. Very, very light wear is the only flaw. Earlier in the 1950s a company called 'Helicopters for Industry' created a line of large early kits. In 1956 Aurora bought the molds and quickly reissued these models with new box artwork. Features cockpit seats, control sticks and instrument panel, full landing gear and decals for all four versions listed. Molded in the correct high-gloss olive drab and clear plastic. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Rare early USA plastic model kit. The mid-1950s Comet hardbox is in 'very good+' condition and the kit inside is excellent. This is the larger of the two Comet S2Fs in near 1/48 scale. As with most Comet kits, this one is well molded with all recessed panel detail and no unsightly rivets. Features retractable sonar dome and MAD boom, extensive clear windows, wing search light with clear cover, rocket under-wing load out, rotating propellers and display stand. Molded in gloss silver and clear. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Please note that the box displays better than the 'very good+' grade but is rated as such because is clear tape on the two short sides and one 1" x 1/4" tape tear from the factory sealing tape.

This kit is still factory sealed in the clear cello wrap but the seal has splits. Pocher made the finest automobile models ever created. The detail and working parts on these long out-of-production, big 1/8 scale kits is amazing. This kit has 1954 parts of plastic, brass, steel, leather, iron, rubber, copper and many other material. Working features include operating steering, working suspension, lights that operate from the dashboard, doors that open and close with operating door latches and handles, starting handle that operates the crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, V-belts, Fan, dynamo and more in the engine and much more. Recommended for experienced modelers only. This is the desirable early version with the most realistic wheel construction. This large and famous model features a large and detailed Kong holding the Girl while his jungle display base shows his natural environment completely trashed by the Wrath of Kong - broken and trampled trees, lizards, snakes, etc. Inside, the kit is molded in the correct black plastic and all parts are in excellent, unbroken condition It has never been started. It has been inventoried 100% complete with all pieces. The instructions are in 'excellent+' condition with slight yellowing as the main flaw. Please note that the box has excellent color and gloss, four perfect corners, no tape or tape marks, no rips, tears, fading or stains but is only graded 'good' because there is a strong crease at the lower part of the "K" in King, the box sides are bowed out as shown and the lower box ('tray') has a deep 1/2" crease along the lower short side.
