Very rare original 1956 hardbox issue. This is an excellent model that is well detailed for that time and features featuring full hull (not waterline), detailed deck and superstructure, full sensor suite, separately molded and moving main armament, Terrier missiles, launcher and directors and much more. Never started. Inside, it is as it left the factory. The small parts are still sealed in the internal clear bag; the large parts that were never sealed have been inventoried complete and includes the correct large-format flag sheet, decals and instructions. The USS Boston, originally CA-69 (Baltimore Class Heavy Cruiser) was converted to the world's first Guided Missile Cruiser in 1952.

1975 release of the cut-away version of the famous "Snorting Bull" of Gunther Prien. The kit has never been started. On his second sailing, Prien made history by sailing into the British Base of Scapa Flow and sinking HMS Royal Oak. Prien and his men survived 11 sailings but were lost on the 12th.

The Type XXI U-Boats were the world's first true submarines; they could travel at high speeds for great distances underwater and attack without visual contact with the targets. The 'snort' allowed them to recharge the batteries and renew the air, eliminating the last needs for surfacing. A development of the Walther Peroxide Boats, the XXIs were seen as a faster way to put a more advanced submarine into service.
