Rare. 1964 hardbox issue. This is the large ex-Comet F-104. In the early 1960s Aurora obtained Comet's line of molds. Comet, as was their custom, had made two of most kits - a smaller scale and a larger scale. Aurora reissued both F-104s - the 1/110 small scale and this 1/62 larger scale version. Aurora did not make many of the 1/62 edition and possibly only issued them once - this is probably due to the fact that Lindberg and Hawk already had excellent 1/48 scale F-104 kits on the market.. The box is in exceptional 'Near Mint'-' condition. Color, gloss and all four corners are as new. No tape, tape marks, price tags or tag marks. Light corner and edge wear are the only flaws. Molded in gloss medium gray and clear. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Decals and instructions are in excellent condition with light yellowing and edge wear being the only flaws.

Still factory sealed but the box has a difficult-to-see crease in the top 1/3. First issue hardbox from 1962. This box has, in my opinion, some of the best Jack Leynnwood box art. Jack primarily did Revell artwork, but since he was freelance, he did others as well. At this point, the XB-70 was planned for production, so the kit is called the B-70 and the artwork shows a winter night-time quick turn around of a SAC B-70 while another Valkyrie roars overhead after takeoff. The box is in excellent condition with very little wear, four solid corners, no repairs, stains,price tag or tape/tape marks. Very large kit with 6 detailed General Electric J93-3 engines, landing gear and clear canopy.

Very rare kit dated 1957. The box is in investment-grade 'near mint' condition with as-new color and gloss, four perfect corners, no price tags or tape, no marks from tags or tape, no fading and no missing litho. The only flaws are very light corner and edge wear. Nice kit for that time, featuring full engine, detailed engine compartment, opening hood, complete interior, opening tail gate and rear window and cowboy 'dad' figure with son. Molded in glossy dark brown and chrome plated plastic. Chrome is in mint condition. The kit has never been started. All parts and paperwork are still in the internal factory sealed bag. The kit was double bagged, which was a common early kit assembly line occurrence.

Very rare original issue in exceptional condition inside and out. The box grades 'very good+' and has nice color, four solid corners, no tape or price tag or marks, but it does have general wear as shown and a light stain on the top long panel. Inside, the kit is like new. It features a detailed Nailhead engine and compartment, opening hood, molded underbody detail, convertible top boot, optional continental kit, optional fender mirrors and spotlights, full interior with optional tachometer, floor shift, oil and ammeter gauges, racing roll bar, lake pipes, louvers, exhaust extensions, aerials, custom wheel discs, grill bar, scoops, fender skirts and more. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all white parts, all chrome parts, 'excellent' wide whitewall rubber tires, clear parts, red-tinted clear tail lights, metal axles and four metal body screws. The instructions are 'near mint' and the decals are 'excellent' with moderate yellowing as the only flaw.

StromBecker was famous for this line of precarved hardwood and plastic kits. The carving is done to the final shape. When complete it makes an impressive desk top display. This one includes beautiful hardwood parts, a clear plastic canopy, full decals, wood-based 'teardrop' display stand with pre-formed wire support, a sealed envelope of wood putty and another of Casco glue, two grits of sandpaper, sanding stick and excellent, detailed instructions. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The box displays nicely but has two small inner flaps missing.
